    Dolmar 5105 No Start Issue

Hello all, I recently did a complete rebuild on a 5105 with a scored piston and sloppy crank bearings. Everything went well including a touch of mild port work & MM but no carb or intake work yet. For post-build testing and tuning, it started easily on second pull, but the tune was nervous and...

Sold Jonsered 8XX/9XX or Husq 288 Coil

I need the lower half of the 2-piece ignition. Upper and lower would work, too. Used is fine and OEM is best, I assume. While we're at it, conversion bar studs from the 820 thread-in 10mm to standard Husky large mount would be nice, too. I'd like to run regular bars and nuts on this one. Thanks!

    High-grade wire source?

Can anyone suggest a source for a spool or at least several feet of oem-quality ground wire similar to what's currently used in better saws? Aftermarket wiring seems stiffer and far more fragile from the start. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks

Want to Buy Husky 51 or 55 For Rehab

I just finished up a friend's 51 rebuild and was pleasantly shocked at the mod gains and love the simplicity of the platform. In the pursuit of more experience with these, I'm looking for a 51 or 55 to work on, preferably with one piece ignition and not missing too many parts. Non-runners are...

    What cylinder is this?

Husky 350 49cc of unknown vintage. Is this an open port cylinder or a closed port with bolt-on transfer covers as on the 52cc/45mm iteration? I do not yet have access to a shot of the serial # plate. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Faulty AM Coil - beware...

Being relatively new at this and purely a hobbyist, I set up a farmertec coil on a Husq 350 port/rebuild project recently. I have done several at this point and this work is generally simple and routine. However, this coil presented some very bizarre behavior that through me for several loops...

Sold Husq 350 throttle rod grommet, starter cover bolts, carb screw

If someone is willing to raid a 345/350 carcass, I could use: - 4 starter cover bolts, - 1 of the throttle rod grommets that sit at the back of the air box, - 1 long intake bolt, - and 1-2 of the metal, top cover threaded clips for the plastic crankcases. I'm sure there are other saws besides...

Want to Buy Husqvarna 351 or 353 for 346 conversion

... Looking for a mag case 351/353 for a 346 conversion, not necessarily running or in good condition. I don't mind getting some missing parts, so it does not need to be complete. I'm learning some of the various, popular builds and want to do a metal case 346. I already got nice 350 from...

    3/8LP to .325 conversion on T435... Impossible?

Can anyone definitively say if one could convert a Husky T435 from 3/8 low-pro to .325? I've done a lot of digging and see little hope for this conversion. Mine is currently stock with a 6-tooth 3/8 spur. There is very little to no cross-compatibility info for .325 rims/spurs, drive bearings, or...

    Burning birch bark

We've lost a ton of our paper birch trees during the last few years of severe drought in Northwest Wisconsin. So I now have a huge glut of birch firewood where as we burned red oak and maple mostly before. It's surprising how much black smoke it gives off even when burned very hot and dry. Do...

For all you saw tuning experts...

Greetings from Hayward WI, I picked up one of those little Makita dcs330TH saws from Baileys and I'm getting it dialed in. I'm not a tuning pro, so here's my problem for all of you: The saw idles nicely at 2850-2900. It seems like I have to nurse it up wot gently or it will bog and die...

    Trading Post Question

Greetings from Hayward WI I'm pretty new here and I just posted a saw for sale. I noticed it didn't show up immediately. Is there an approval needed? Thanks Chris

    Cold weather recommendations

I've got a new husky 450, purchased 07/2008. I've got a bunch of small to med (up to 20" +/-) newly cut red oak that I'd like to buck into splittable pieces over this winter. I'm in N. Wisconsin and would be cutting during the daytime with temps from the single digits to the teens and twenties...

    Jotul F 3 CB opinions

Greetings from Hayward WI! Since there is no shortage of opinions here, I'd like some opinions on the performance, burn times, and ease of use of the Jotul F 3 CB for a tight home of 1200 sq ft, with about 800-900 being heated by this stove. I have a lead on a slightly used one. It would be...
