Really really really want a tractor

Not sure who actually makes it but Bobcat has tractors now, no DEF fluid required on some the few models that I was looking at.

    Dolmar ps-3401th parts?

Looking for NOS or international connections, possibly a substitute or newer revision for a carburetor for this saw: PN: 170151200 Makita wasn't much help here in the USA, and Dolmar contact information is lacking.

    Happy Customer

Placed an order last week and received 95% of it, think I am waiting for a spliced prusik cord to arrive. Fast shipping, and proper products delivered. Maybe SherrillTree improved their business since taking it over? Am happy here, even the "bag-of-rope" is impressive!

Worst Tree Supply Company (Tree Stuff)

So I should place an order with someone else even though they are a site sponsor and haven't responded to these issues?

    Saw ownership. What brand.

I voted Dolmar but would have voted for Husky and Jred too, Stihls are OK if you have an older one, or a new one as long as you don't look at the castings... :) I like my 3410TH and 7900...

    climbing equipment question

Wesspur received a lot of my money for the majority of my gear, Sherrilltree, onrope1, great escapesports, and baileys are great too depending on what you are looking for. WesSpur is pretty cool in that they have their overstock gear and clearance rope sales, which leads to another order...

    Rope protector/cambium saver

Old Fire Hose? Should be easy to locate if you have any fire departments as if they are knicked or a few years old they are retired... I think they have a canvas sleeve over a kevlar sleeve, the kevlar sleeve has a smooth/slick type of plastic coating on the inside.

Working In Extreme Weather & Temperatures

Does anyone here keep track of water ph? I do notice a difference in water acidity when drinking and prefer 7+, a few bottlers are much better than others. (Granted I wasn't doing tree work but when the heat index is 130f and i'm around concrete without shade I need all the help that I can get.)

    Ergovation + Croll setup

Does anyone have any pics of this setup? I have the Ergo +SRT strap + Y harness but would like to verify the Croll attachment against someone elses before I call it done. Sherrills has a mini pic that isn't doing it much justice and the paper instructions are lacking... Eh, spoketh too...

    HELP!!! today

Does USPS have a weight limit on packages going to CA? I sent some diesel injectors up north to a specialist shop by USPS and was told that my package was under the weight limit and was able to ship it... Weird? Also the max insured value was something like $680 on the customs declaration...

    Questions: Ascending With One Line

After looking at a few youtube video's it seems that rockclimbers/cavers don't use backups to their mechanical ascenders when going up SRT?

    argh!

It's a trade that requires special skills and knowledge, that is what the customer is paying for. If the customers know they are getting ripped the would pay would reflect it accordingly... Can't have everyone bastardizing everything to make a quick buck and to leave a customer fuming long...

    Ants!!

I'm not sure what the ant poison is called but it's granules that they feed on and then take to the queen. A day later they are all DEAD! Be sure to pour it on top then step all over the mound and pour some more or else it won't work for some reason...

    double clutching

Normal shifting would consist of pushing the clutch in, changing gears, then releasing the clutch. Double Clutching would be pressing in the clutch, releasing it in neutral, then pressing down on the clutch again and then shifting to the next gear.

    got a bunch of tree's 2 climb..but dont want 2

Does anyone bang on the tree trunk to alert the critters inside that your about to climb or would it be enough to piss them off and get a scaley object with fangs to drop on you? Guess climbers could carry a C02 repeater pistol in a tactical thigh rig, or a full auto Drozd version because...

    echo CS-330T

Does the 330 use the little flathead insert in the bar to adjust the chain? I just picked up a "echo"/Oregon bar for my Dolmar 3410TH and that's how the adjuster works on it, kinda weird but if the bolts are tight I don't foresee any problems.
