Woodmaster Door blower seized up twice

make sure the rubber seal on top of the blower is in good shape. if you get a good strong wind, it will blow smoke back out of the blower when it is off if the flap is leaking. i just replaced my blower, but turns out the old one just lost a few rivets, so it is repaired and on the shelf. as for...

    OWB: Splitting vs. Not?

i've played with this alot. for my woodmaster, i get longer burn times with bigger rounds. less wood fits in the stove, but it ends up lasting longer. with dried splits, i can usually see a 14 inch flame shooting out of my stack at night. with rounds, just clear hot air.

    Woodmaster Temp Keeps going low

i have found that you need to keep other, smaller wood stacked around the big logs to make them want to burn right, most likely the issue. let it burn until it is all but out of wood and the temp is fairly low. then set a small fire with small, dry wood. thats what i do once or twice a season to...

Steve's County land firewood adventures (pic intensive)

looks about like what i haul out on an average trip. i've only rolled accross a scale once thou, so my guess is its a 2500lb load, so 7450lbs total. BTW, great rig, and i love the headache rack. i just got myself a "new" hauler, trying it out this weekend. an 87 heavy half 4x4, cant wait to...

    off topic lawn mower issue

figured this one out the hard way once. if you wired it wrong long enough for the wire to get hot, the mag. is probably dead. check the spark before you even bother trying to start the motor.

Firewood Logs Wanted in Central Ohio

call hilltop lumber in New Lexington. Rusty Howdyshel is one of the owners, He'll hook you up. Last year he gave me a price (if i remember correctly) $40/ ton for a load of seasoned hardwood logs. i would have jumped on it, but: A- i don't have a leval spot in my yard big enough to cut up a...

    OWB Question

i fully expect to enrage the old times on here by saying this, but i wouldn't get too worried about having super-cured fire wood. i hve played around with mine quite a bit over the last few years and for me, the longest burning wood is decent sized rounds that i cut in the spring and early...

now this is a BIG tree!

yup, sorry but thats photo shopped. if you look at real driftwood, the bigger it is the bigger the pit it makes around it in the sand. i don't buy it.

    Multiflora rose???

yup, almost impossible to kill. i like to use salt water from the oil wells we have around here, but it not always easy to find someone that owns a well. pretty sure the EPA won't send you any awards for using it either... here's why its so great though. if you put it down thick enough, it kills...

    Woodmaster stoves

i wouldn't mind seeing some kind of pic or diagram. the placement of the mixing valve COULD be the issue. i know the one i use on my hot water tank kills the flow on my domestic water, might be slowing the flow of your OWB pump.... i'll wait for the info

    Creosote prevention question...

i guess folks around here just like to live on the edge. i know of 6 people who intentionaly over heat their stove( by burning newspapers or cardboard) and start small chimney fires several times a year, usually when there is snow on the roof or it is raining (just in case something comes out of...

    Woodmaster stoves

well, first off, Banjo, i'm glad i'm not the only one with that nasty tar like creosote in my stove, once in a while i will burn it out, but it always comes back.... oh well. high ceilings will make for more work, but i'd put money on the water flow not being enough to move the heat where you...

    earth owb

my cousin installed one last fall. i realize it's a little premature to cast judgement, but he absolutely loves his. From what i have seen of it it is really well built and it seems like it is built out of good thick steel. i drive past his house every day on the way home from work and i have...

    Wood Master fans

there's no way to do that with the stock controller. there are aftermarket controllers that can be programed to do this, but your talking several hundred dollars to save a few bucks a month. unless you add a few lengths of pipe (more money) to your stack, i doubt you would get enough draw to get...

    Woodmaster stoves

I've got a 4400 and love it. i heat a 3300 sqft house with radient heat in the basement and a 50 hot water tank. i only load my stove once a day about 2/3 full with a good thick layer of ash in the bottom.there are a few things you can do to make sure you love yours as much as i love mine...

    Is this normal? OWB WoodMaster

mine only does that on long burn cycles with small dry wood. just wasting heat up the pipe. thats why i run a 10 degree differential and large half-seasoned wood.

HELP: Engineering Senior Design Project Ideas Needed. What are your dreams?

Well, I’m sure you could come up with several solutions, but here's a problem I have that I intend to solve soon with some know how I have from the same education you are finishing up. The only real issue I have with my OWB setup is when the power goes out. Back when I had a good old' indoor...
