    Plasma cutter recommendation

A couple years ago I purchased a Primeweld CT520DP 50A Pilot Arc Plasma Cutter. It is a multipurpose machine. I have used the plasma cutter quite a bit and have been very happy with it, fairly slow cutting 1/2". I also used the stick welder just to test it out and it worked fine. Have not used...

    Where to Locate IBC Totes?

I can occasionally get them from the plant I work at if I kiss the correct behind. Recently a friend hooked me up with a local fertilizer plant and I went a picked up 20 more, they had about another 20 but I did not have room for them at this time. Once all these are full I will be going back...

    Block off plate 026 Stihl?

I made some plates from 1/2" thick sheets of PVC that have worked great. I'm sure in a pinch you could probably make them out of wood and use some rubber for a gasket.

Looking for engine to replace Kohler SH265 on Dirty Hand Tools 25 ton log splitter

One recomendation is if it doesn't already have one, install a fuel shut off valve and run the carb out of gas each time you use it. Good luck, I personally have had pretty good luck with the predator engines.

    shop stove

Seeing how high your ceilings are some ceiling fans would be worthwhile unless you have some already that can't be seen in the pic. Good Job.

Here is a picture of my shop stove that I referred to in an earlier post about the door warping.

    shop stove

Looks good. I would reccomend some type of "framing" on the door itself, otherwise I believe it will warp. The door on my propane tank stove is 3/8 thick and has warped pretty good over the years.

    Anyone heard from Bobl

Just curious if anyone has heard from Bob since all the devastation in Australia? He hasn't had any activity since Nov. 2019.

Saws with no start throttle lock

I hold the throttle with one hand kneel on the saw so it wont move around while pulling and pull like a mother. I have them both to the point I can start them in about five pulls. This was a learning experience with both these saws. These are both old magnesium case saws so no worries about my...

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Load scrounged throughout the summer at our leased lake lot. Brought it home today. Those oak rounds on the trailer were all my tractor wanted to pick up. Maxed out truck and trailer, it was a slow ride home, with a little pucker factor involved. Same size of rounds on the other side of trailer.

What is fair wage for a helper splitting wood ?

I usually offer $10 an hour with an understanding that they are here to work, and that there will be deductions for screwing around talking/texting. I encourage them to leave the phone in the truck. Some do some don't, never had an arguement at the end of the day. Most come back again.
