not really chainsaw... but it does have a motor....

i'll agree on the exercise! i walked for a while yesterday in third gear and dang! it keeps you steady. you can't slow down when you get tired like just walking laps. cause it just keeps dragging you.

not really chainsaw... but it does have a motor....

not really. its a small platform with a go cart size tire on either side. looks good but with two wheels one is always falling in a hole and seems like your always beating and banging around a lot. two wheels seems like two chances to hit a bump, instead of just one center wheel.

not really chainsaw... but it does have a motor....

and i wasn't sure where to post this either, but i'm hopin for a little insight. i just purchased a new to me scag 48 inch walk behind mower and a two wheel velky. i was wondering if anyone has any opinions on two versus one wheel? i'm wishin i would have went with a one wheel from what little...

046 runs lean on occasion? any ideas?

i find it odd that you'll have a bunch of visits to your thread, buy pretty knowledgeable people, but hardly any responses. its odd. and the bs threads are just booming. not specifically talking about my topics, but i've noticed this a lot lately. anybody care to comment? even if its not about...

046 runs lean on occasion? any ideas?

well, it runs awesome. like it always has. never given a problem in about a year. and i didn't change anything. just cleaned it out, but it was spotless anyway. i'm hopin the line was my original problem. i just don't understand why it hasn't caused problems before now.

    stihl 036 or 038

i love both! the 038 is awesome. i miss mine! i.d rather keep it if its firewood your cuttin. little more power and torque. heavier also.

046 runs lean on occasion? any ideas?

well just to catch up on this, i think i got it figured out, sort of anyway. i pulled the carb to clean it and found the fuel line to be pinched severely somehow. not sure how, or why it hasn't caused problems by now. but anyway, i went through the carb just to be safe. it looked good. i trimmed...

046 runs lean on occasion? any ideas?

i gotta add this also, but it sounds crazy. it only dies when i sit it down? it will idle as long as i hold it. maybe coincidence i dunno.

046 runs lean on occasion? any ideas?

i have a 046 that has always ran great. it has new hoses and filter. new rings, and home made base gasket. it started to run lean on me yesterday. it will be running fine, then all of a sudden when idling it will slowly drop rpm and die. then when you start it back it revs out way too lean and...

thanks man. its been a tough winter. just this week my wife had to go with her dad for heart surgery eight hours from home. her mother had gall bladder surgery the same day. and she is my main help with my kids....lol. and the baby has to go tuesday for pre op for feeding tube and stomach...

anybody sell firewood on the side? i'm talkin small timers.

i've really had to give up for this year since about christmas. my baby girl was born on december 28 09 and it has been tough since then. i've cut a little for next year but i haven't had time to advertise and sell any since then. she has some disabilities and issues. every time i get ready to...

its more than just cheapest. its the most powerful too. hands down.

    MS361 VS 365 Special

if you want more power on a budget get a 6401 makita. its got more power than the 365 and is over a hundred dollars cheaper new. its a great saw. i ran a 365 a lot and its not worth stepping up from a 361 to a 365. you could get the makita with the big bore kit for the price of a new 365 and...

Husqvarna 372XP "Flagship saw" "best saw Husky ever made"

I vote no on the 570. They are smooth and kinda torky, but terribly awkward and heavy. Like carrying an 046 with a taller air filter cover and the power of an 039. I actually raced a 570 with an 039. The 570 had a lot better chain, both sharp though, and the 039 was only about 2-3 seconds slower...

    026 carb problems?

well, i got a new line and filter installed. and it fixed 75 percent of the problem. it just took a lot longer for it to die. i checked the carb again and raised the lever again slightly and i think its fixed. every once and a while it idles funny, but doesn't die. the clutch springs are shot...

    026 carb problems?

oh. well i don't have a vac problem then. i've just never saw fuel spray out like that.

    026 carb problems?

i forgot to mention that almost every time i pulled the line off, especially the first time, that a lot of fuel sprayed out of the line. like it was under pressure. but i checked the vent and it seemed ok. i also tried loosening the cap a few times while it idled to make sure it vented but still...

i use carb cleaner in a spray can. its clean as a whistle. the stuff in the screen was powdery residue. i assume from old fuel. thats all that was in it.
