    Recommendation for Splitter...max 20 cord/yr

I have a TW-5 with lift and table. Would do exactly the same if I were to do it again. I do about the same amount of wood as you do. I try to purchase quality equipment, take good care of it and never have any issues getting a fair price when time to sell. I had a Iron and Oak before the...

    Best fuel can?

I agree. I had the middle seam on a No Spill can separate and leaked five gallons of gas onto shop floor. Was lucky it did not ignite. Sold all plastic cans and went to steel.

    what splitter to buy?

I second the Timberwolf. I had an Iron and Oak splitter before and it was a quality unit for the money. Lot more money for the Timberwolf but it is a great spitter. They also hold their value well. Only regret I have with the Timberwolf is that I did not buy it a long time ago.

Felled, bucked, split and stacked a cord today!

And to think I was proud of myself yesterday for cutting rounds, splitting with a splitter and stacking a cord of wood and it took me all day! Guess I really am getting old and slow! But I still had fun!

    Log splitter advise

I first had a Iron and Oak and sold it to buy a TW-5. Both great splitters but the TW-5 is my favorite by far. Large difference in price too! Like most items you buy, you get what you pay for. Especially true with log splitters. Sorry I did not get a TW-5 many years ago.

    Battery recommendations for kubota

I have found Sears Die Hards very difficult to beat. I would also get a Battery Tender Plus to keep your battery up to charge when not in use. The Tender has paid for itself many times over.

Timberwolf vs. Allwood Splitter Better Buy??

No experience with the Allwood but I have a TW-5. Nothing but praise for the Timberwolf. If you get the TW-5, get the lift and the table. Two options I would not be without. I do log truck loads of madrone each year and yet to have a piece slow it down.

    CAD And The Wife

Once I was having a problem finding room in a closet for my jacket. I mentioned to wife that we really need to have a garage sale to make more closet space. She said that would be fine and then on the second day we could have a sale for items in my shop. Never brought up closet space again.

Looking for the resident expert on Timberwolf TW 5

When I purchased my TW-5, it came with a very useful manual. If yours did not come with one, maybe you could get one from Timberwolf. It is a great splitter and I think you will enjoy it very much. Last year I got a load of madrone and some pieces had 35" diameters. Splitter had no problems...

    End of the trail

Very sorry to read of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm sure the love between you two is very strong, and for that, you are both very fortunate. I cannot image what you two must have gone through with this terrible disease. Thank you for your sharing.

I have a 14' with scissor lift and three way gate. It is a Load/Trail. Been a perfect trailer.

    Priced a TW5

TW-5 is worth the money. It was difficult spending that kind of money, but I have never regretted it.

    dump trailer

I have a Load/Trail 14,000, 7'x14' ball hitch, scissor hoist. Great trailer. I had a simple bracket welded between frame rails so I could mount a spare. Very well built trailer. If I were to get another one, Load/Trail would be the one.
