    I took 2 red oaks apart 2 years ago one of which was hit by lightning. I could tell no difference between the 2 so maybe you job won't be hard after all.

    Hardly used Timber Wolf factory 6 way wedge came off a TW-6 splitter. 350.00. Must pick up in Beckley, WV or arrange to meet.

    This is why you dont use ethonal gas.

    Never had a problem with gasoline of either type in anything I've had. My stuff never set long enough to be a problem. I do run the non stuff these days in my small engines simply because it's available.

    Cut a soft maple for a friend. Didn't really want the wood but thought I might as well burn it.

    Some rounds must be split to get them in the truck & because of a bad shoulder I noodle anything that remotely looks hard to split.

    1950 model here. 80% of my home (3400 sq ft) is wood. My 700 sq ft cabin is wood. Still cut it all myself. God is good.

    firewood cutting rack

    Often thought of a cutting rack for smaller stuff. I get many limbs 3 to 8 inches in diameter. A rack would make them much easier to cut. As for the big stuff I have no way to lift them onto a rack. I normally cut them mostly through & roll them. Hard on the back? At times but normally do enough...

    Making Firewood

    The main problem with my furnace it's made for wood or coal so it isn't air tight like a pure wood burner.
