I have a B&G pump on mine and I had to trim the insulation also for it to fit.

I would go with the CB hands down. The CB I bought has exceeded my expectations in every way possible and I believe it is the best out there.

If you buy a heat exchanger go check ebay. I bought my 40 plate exchanger on there and the price was cheaper than my local dealer.

Sounds like a boil over. Same thing happened to me when the power went out.

DId you happen to put a wye in the line to the heat exchanger? Maybe it needs to be cleaned out?

Do you have power at the pump?

I am guesing that maybe your 30 plate heat exchanger is too small. I have a 40 plate and heat about 2400 sf. First thing I would try is to increase your setpoint to 195 and see what happens.

Central recommends the fill water be 6.5 - 8.0 ph. After the water is treated the ph should be between 8.0 - 9.5.
