Where are Stihl and Husky saws made?

Suo Gan is a Welsh name my illiterate friend. Time to pick up a book and read it from time to time, it might do ya'll all's some good, ya know what I mean?

Where are Stihl and Husky saws made?

You know I have only brought this up because I want to see how the rest of you feel. Its mostly the way I do. So this was a venture if preaching to the chior I guess. But it got me to do some research around the net, and I came up with some interesting bits of info, like: Stihl owns Zama in...

Where are Stihl and Husky saws made?

You guys cover your bases pretty well. I mean how do I get around your arguments? People should not be hung up on where things are made, let us know if its a fake made in China? If you don't care where things are made, why would it matter if it was a fake made in China? It runs well, and has...

    Dodge diesels

Like I said the motor has been beautiful, its the truck that is the problem. I am not so sure that the 12 valve would be any better, and its heavier too. Anyway, people do all kinds of stuff, I saw a guy in the city with a pink Buick covered in leather. So buying an old worn out dodge truck...

Where are Stihl and Husky saws made?

Break what to who? IT SAYS CHINA ON IT! So that means they outsourced it there, right? If not they would not put China on it because we all know the kind of Harbor Freighter type crap that is. I don't care if its just a screw made in China, it makes a difference to me, and should to everyone...

Where are Stihl and Husky saws made?

Its funny how they don't let you know these things up front. They make it seem as though you are going to be taking a virgin fräulein home, come to find out she is an asian hooker... Is this true?

    It's a ghost!

Catch that sucker and sell him to an Indian...get much wampum for white squirrel...they taste like chicken. Thanks for the pic.

    Let's talk about kickback...

I don't think that this question is a stupid one at all. I think everyone is trying to let others know ways to find info that has been gone over before. It is nice to talk to a professional about your specific application... I think I can answer the question though. All modern saws are...

Where are Stihl and Husky saws made?

On the other thread about Husky saws being sold by the big box stores, I made the comment that my 346xp was made in China. This has resulted in me wanting to buy Stihl now instead of Husky. Some have made the comment that..."whatever, if it works it works, who cares if its made in China...

    Pro's using Husky saws???

Heres a picture of the Chinese Husqvarna 346xp. Hey if you like Chinese stuff, by all means buy it, I am not going to anymore.

    Dodge diesels

I have owned a 98 24 valve Cummins Dodge 4x4 since new. The truck has 145K on it now. As you will hear time and again, the motor is unstoppable, powerful, and maintenance free (as in just doing routine stuff). The suspension in the front is bad, bad, bad, though and is the Achilles heel of...

Ok this to me is the Ultimate ride

Can you imagine weaving one of those between the trees? Would have to have a steering wheel in back like a firetruck.

    Need Chainsaw buying advice

Buy a Stihl unit. The 346xp is made in China, with a Swedish stamp on it, and a big price tag. If you are cutting 7 cords a year, I assume its all hardwood. I would opt for a unit that is larger than 50cc, buy two bars for it, say a "16-18" and a 24" that way if you come to something larger...

How to attach child's swing to sycamore?

If you opt for just throwing a rope over the branch, use a lariat, they have small steel cables woven inside them. They will stop a steer, can be taken down every year and re waxed, and are pretty cheap. I like to use two, spliting them at the end so each corner of the swing seat is supported...

    Pro's using Husky saws???

I think that this is a fair question. There are those of us who do not eat sleep and breath chainsaws (the horror). The Lowes Husqvarna saws are considered homeowner units (so are the Echo units). The parts that they use are not on par with those of the extra power professional Husky saws. I...

Stihl Saw Prices 090, 056 magnum

Well, I bought the 090 for $200, the 056 magnum for $175. His son had a 088 that I bought for $375. I guess I am a Stihl man now...

Stihl Saw Prices 090, 056 magnum

Does anyone have a idea what a Stihl 090, and 056 magnum are worth on the market today? A local guy has them, they are running, and he is the original owner, they both come without bars. And are in the usual "well worn" condition. What should I offer him? Thanks much, Merry Christmas to...

    288xp 394xp or 395xp

I answer this question with the understanding that I am being led into the lions den. My experience has been simply this: All the 288's on the market are used. The low top units as seen on the 288xp lite use a filter that at least in my opinion is less desirable than the ones used on the high...

    288xp 394xp or 395xp

Amen about the weight. I think that if you can find a good 394xp that would be great. You can probably find a better deal on one of them than the newer 395xp, and still have the same saw (mostly). The 288xp (not the lite, no,no,no!) is a good saw, but they are hyped up to be a super saw...

stihl 064 vs husky 288...time to stir the pot

You know this thread was an interesting read. It is a study on human nature. I am not sure why I always think what I own is better than someone elses, but it makes me feel better anyway. I have never compared my 288xp against a Stihl 064, but I know it cuts a tree down pretty fast, and has...
