I do not know where in Pa. you are located, I have seen a chipper like that at an equipment service shop in Warrington Pa. that does repairs for Asplundh and Davey etc. The chipper has been sitting there for a couple of years now, not sure if its for sale.
There is a sawmill just north of Doylestown, I believe it is called Heacock lumber. I am not sure how well they pay but, the tree service that I worked for in the past would bring their logs there.
Get an exhaust hose like one at a service station designed to go through the garage door and hook it up to the truck and direct it towards the chipper.
I just rebuilt an 044, the piston pin diameter is the difference between the two different piston and cylinder kits. Both of the cylinders had a hole for the compression release and came with a plug and gasket if it was not needed. The kit cost me (from the Stihl dealer) $250.00.

I was at the local dealer today to try to purchase an adjustable carb for my 026 pro, and was told that the WT-426 carb was not available? Has anybody heard this one before?
I have a slightly newer Sears saw (orange in color) that looks just like that saw. It turns heads when you run it, but it weighs a ton, it is loud as he**, and slow. My saw has a 18" B+C on it.
