    Logosol Smart Pusher

I was looking for reviews of the Logosol one as well, because with it you can lift the end of the log to get it off the ground to maybe put something under it for cutting.

What are you building with your milled wood? merged

I made this end table out of white oak and walnut that I milled at my Father-in-laws house, gave the table to the in-laws as a present. Basically he got part of his tree back as a table.d

    Slab thickness

What thickness do you slab your boards if you plan on selling/using them for live edge tables or things like that, or maybe not knowing what a customer will do with it? Normally I just do 1.125" or so but that was when I was just using it for woodworking projects and just needed .75 thick...

    36" Alaskan Mill question.

I contacted Granberg just to see what they would say. They said the measurements they give on the site are "for a solid steel bar with no roller", and even said those are not used/made much anymore. They did say with a sprocket bar that you will be down to about 29-30". Don't know why they...

    36" Alaskan Mill question.

BobL, why can't you just clamp in the middle of the sprocket, why do you have to bolt through? That could be the case, I just figured since the mill is sold as a "36 inch mill" that they were inferring that you used a 36" bar and thus could get 32" as they say.

    36" Alaskan Mill question.

The website says you can get a 32" cut, is that really possible? I have mine set at 30" and the end clamp is sitting on part of the sprocket area, I think I could get another 1" but not sure I could get another 2". Is it okay to have the clamp that close to the end where it more on top of the...

    M6 Turbosawmill & Tree ID

I posted this video to YouTube, most of it is sped up for time sake, but I wanted someone to look at the wood and verify that it is Ash. You can see the wood at 2:15, 3:50, 5:20 and 10:30 so you can skip around. I got the log from a co-worker and the people that cut it down said it was Ash. I...

    Milling saw no mods

Would get a Husqvarna 3120xp or a Stihl MS880? If I have no intention of doing any mods, so which would be better out of the box?

machinery marketplaces? anyone ever buy from them

I'm glad I did a search before ordering from them, I have been wondering if I should take the chance, guess not. Just wonder why there is not more information about them being a scam out there.

    Long log with Alaskan

Are you ever worried about hitting the bolts since some are probably deeper than others? Or how low do you make your first cut? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Long log with Alaskan

My rails for my Alaskan Mill are only 10ft long because most of the logs I have always milled are 8ft long so it worked well for what I needed. Now I have a 13-14ft log and have a question: 1.) How easy is it to move the rails part way down the log and give everything lined up so that this...

MS361 very very hard to start

Well what do you know, I was just flooding it. Tonight, just to test, I put it on choke pulled one time only, sounded like a small trying to fire, put it in start position and pulled 3 times I think and it was started. I'll just keep doing that for now until I see if it starts acting up...

MS361 very very hard to start

Spark plug is probably 3 maybe 4 years old. Button does pop out for a long time, I've pulled 10 times or so on choke and it didn't pop out but I just smelled the gas and moved it to the start position and when pulling really hard it will finally pop out. Occasionally it will pop out after a...

MS361 very very hard to start

It used to start just as you are describing but this last week started becoming difficult. I'll look into a carb kit. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

MS361 very very hard to start

Now that my MS660 issues might of been solved I now have issues with my MS361. It is very, very hard to start and I will tell what I have to do to actually get it started. Remember once started it runs just fine, like it always did, cuts fine, no issues once actually running. Steps: Set to...

    MS660 Dies under load

I went and bought tank vent, spark plug, and filter. I replaced only the vent, started right up like normal and I ran it full throttle up and down and it didn't die. I ran it up and down the throttle for a few minutes then let it sit for 15 minutes, restarted it and it went to full throttle...

    MS660 Dies under load

The fuel filter "looks" fine and neighbor thought so too, but I have another one I can put in. I did buy ethanol free gas this year so I know it's good. I'll have to look for and get a fuel tank vent, not real familiar with the saw yet so I don't know where it is our how to replace but will...
