What would you pay for this McCulloch?

MAC 55 Bow Saw Harzack -- I like this Mac saw pretty well. NO paint loss/wear on the hand grip. Seems very low hour.... Bow bar looks nice. So, the fuel cap gasket leaked and lost some black paint. Would/Should have the Auto-Adjustable chain oiler to increase for the Bow-Bar...

    K10-SDC carburetor question...

SDC Carb centerline-- We work on a lot of these carbs in our Service Dept. It's very rare that we have to drill anything out. Was your carb super filthy on the inside ? Welch plugs don't have to come out very often.... Other poster mentioned the Walbro Service Manual. Excellent idea...

    290 chain. .325 or 3/8? sorry........

MS 290 w/ 3/8" mountainlake --- You need to personally contact one of the most important Voters of all! How about the STIHL Factory itself !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STIHL has, without a doubt, "dumped" about a blue jillion of these MS290's sold with 3/8" on the unsuspecting public. Many sold...

New poster/ Help identify this Stihl

Magnum ! Sawdustmaker -- Magnum originated from France, I believe. It is simply a LARGE[R] Bottle of wine than a normal one. HollyWood though..... Magnum is now one of the finest "sales terms" ever devised. Ever here of Dirty Harry? .44 Magnum? It brings to mind, Powerful, Big...

    Abandoned Saws

Bluto -- Make sure you have a sign posted concerning this. [60] days is good on the time limit. A "Storage Fee" per day [$1.00] should be listed. We never enforce it though.... It simply covers us in case a customer demands hs equipment back after 10 months! Yes Sir, it's the repair bill...

    290 chain. .325 or 3/8? sorry........

MS290 -- .325 vs. 3/8" STIHL factory offers BOTH sizes on the MS290's. They can be ordered either way. 95% of the MS290's we sell go out the door with 3/8" B&C. Repeat 3/8". Both sizes are offered and approved with 16/18/20" bars. Your choice on all! The factory authorizes/approves an...

Question for Stihl dealers re: Service

STIHL Dealers & Shop work. We are STIHL Franchised Dealers. We NEVER discriminate on where someone bought a saw. Why ?????????????????????????????????? We're in business for Service work! Big part of the Dealership! Don't care where they bought it. They get treated nicely like everyone...

    Fireworks ? STIHL vs. McCulloch

Guys, so many posts are written about "new saws" being SO much superior to the older saws that engine size seems of little concern. That's why I did the OP. New saws walk on water.. These Mac's, HomeLites, etc. certainly could not possibly keep up. Old heavy slow pieces of junk religated to...

    Mac 10-10

Catfish --- YES, absolutely fix this saw. From your description it needs very little... I have [4] different styles of 10-10's. They are very stout, strong saws. 54-57cc's. 20" bar works great. They will out-perform many new "high-tech" saws of similar size. I've done side by side...

    Lombard Chainsaws

Commango Interesting Point .............. Lombard, way back when, ran a National Contest for naming there new, top-line saw that was to be introduced very soon. Lots of entries came in. A little girl won the contest ! She said it was a Chainsaw that anyone could, "Command & Go!"...

    Does This Sound Right?

What brand of saw ? How easy to access? How FILTY is it? Did they buy it from us? Limiter caps or not? AND, is it really just a Carb-Tune needed ? Most often, not. They need more. OCC's instance was rarer. Newish saw that came from a different area. Most of the saws we do...

    Fireworks ? STIHL vs. McCulloch

Was out cutting some wood to weight down my truck bed because of a big snow storm coming -- yea, in April... Elm, I believe it was. Ran my STIHL MS250 & Mac PM10-10. These are NOT my only saws. Just decided to run them. Chains sharp, etc. Both Ready. [It was hailing on me while cutting...

    Lombard Chainsaws

Lombard's ryans -- These saws are about 70cc's. Way stonger than an XL12... I have a AP-42. Very impressed with it's quality of construction. They made these saws tough! Tune it real crisply -- you'll be impressed. Also, run some very good Full Synthetic Oil. Regards.

    Does This Sound Right?

OCC -- This is NOT a Journey ! It is not a life goal or large endevour. It is a very simple repair -- apparently done correctly. Go back to the ROOT of your complaint, OCC. You wanted a CALL. Right? FOR WHAT ???????????? An estimate on a Carb-Tune ? Get a life.... We have been...

    Does This Sound Right?

OCC -- #1 - most all Techs personally NEVER call a customer -- at least in a fairly big, busy shop. They work on commision. Time is literally money. Our Tech's make $50,000.+ per year. They are NOT personally going to call you for anything! The only calls our Techs take is from their wives...
