I need help with 025 issue.

Thanks for all the replies.... The fuel line and fuel filter are in good shape....I checked both when doing the carb work. There is a vent line but no impulse line....only the fuel line and no place on the carb for an impulse line to go. I haven't unscrewed the fuel cap and the tank vent line...

I need help with 025 issue.

I have a Stihl 025 that I acquired. I don't know the year it was made but it still has a bar code on the front of the case. Anyway when I got it you can make a cut and when you let off the throttle it would stall. Only the low screw is adjustable for the high side has a plug in it. I tried every...

A couple of fire place insert questions?

My chimney sweep recommended an Enerzone solution fire place insert for my house. Has anyone ever heard of this brand and if so what kind of quality is it compared to the Summers 1,500 sq. ft insert that Lowe's sells? I have read that the Summers unit is made by some outstanding Co. but I can't...

    Splitting wood

Ok, if the maul is more than I want to do then I can lay the pieces on the ground and cut them as if I were splitting them..from butt to butt rather than standing the chunk up like I was going to split it? The reason I mentioned the ripping chain is I was going to stand the wood up like one...

    Splitting wood

I have some seasoned Pignut hickory and I don't know if I'm going to be able to split it with a maul for it is so big from the butt and on up I don't have access to a splitting machine and was wondering if I could use a ripping chain on a saw to cut it like splitting. Baileys says only use this...

    Stihl 028av issues

I'm no expert but sometimes cleaning the carb once doesn't do the job. You may have to do it again for a port or two may still be clogged up. Also make sure the fuel filter isn't stopped up and that your adjusting the carb correctly. I don't know your experience with saws but if I mentioned...

    Splitting wood with an ax.

I don't have an auto splitter, so I split it with an ax. This is just for personal use so I don't mind and it's good exercise. I have found this tool called a True Temper 4lb. super splitter which has a head like a maul but you swing it like an ax. Has anyone ever seen one of these or ever used...
