    impulse line for 029

I tried that trick along time ago and ended up redoing it two times cause I was smart and thought I could get away without having to BUY one. Tried different line and it'll last a while but had to get a OEM one to fix it in the end. The other kinks, gets sloppy and it ain't worth the trouble...

    Need a chain recommendation

I'm goin to stick my nickles worth in here. We have been running Stihl semi skip and .404 on all of our work saws the last few years. 3/8's on most of um and .404 on all the big saws and it has proved to be the best for big hard woods that we cut the most. I like the OP like to get in there and...

One of my favorite saws. Check all the lines fuel and impulse. They may have a pin hole or they may be all mushy and sucking shut. New filter also. then you know all that's good. On the carb I don't have one of those things to check um with either and we've done kazillions of um. Look down...

    How much would you charge?

I agree 100% don't leave the yard for less than $140 an hour or you'll lose your butt. Look at the cost of fuel and everything else it's sad but it's so true. That much equipment and all that work ain't cheap. My stuff would stay in the yard unless he fronts 10 hours up front. Sorry not for me.

    Need a bigger saw

Find you a good used 044 or 046 Stihl and don't look back. May have to give around $400 for one but it ain't going to hurt long. It'll live a long time if you look after it. Had one for years and it'll do all you want to do. I run a 28" on mine right now. Joe
