    Speeco 22 ton pump?? issues.

Perhaps, but that doesn't make me feel better! It put my pump in danger. I am quite upset at all this. I paid good money for a product I EXPECT to give me many years of service. I don't drag the splitter all over the country. It stays at home. I split all wood at home. I change my oil every...

    Speeco 22 ton pump?? issues.

Well, SO FAR, it is NOT the pump. It is the cheap filter assembly that is the issue. The bypass plug came out and lodged in the inlet line to the pump. Lodged in the inlet fitting before the clear feed line, to be more specific. To this point, SPEECO has done nothing. I called them, and...

    Speeco 22 ton pump?? issues.

Talked to one of the reps at speeco (forgot his name). He was supposed to send me the diagnostics for the ram and the pump. Told me there is NO rebuild kits for the pump. They do have a rebuild kit for the cylinder. If the pump was bad, I would have to order one from TSC. They are 200 bucks...

Can I access this spring triptester? If I can, how do I access it?

    Speeco 22 ton pump?? issues.

If it was the ram seal, why have I had no issues with splitting? Cylinder will not retract OR run forward. It's not getting pressure. My thoughts were, that the pump died. Reason I come to that conclusion is, when the splitter would no longer function, the motor speed picked up. Valve still...

No gauge. 4-5 years old. Oil is good. Clean.

    Speeco 22 ton pump?? issues.

I just took the lovejoys loose from both the motor and the pump. Both keys are fine. Lovejoy rubber cushion is good. Rolling the pump over by hand, does so easily, with little resistance. It does not freewheel, turning the pump shaft, but it doesn't take much effort either. So, where do I need...

    Speeco 22 ton pump?? issues.

Well, I didn't pull the lovejoy apart. I guess there is still enough light outside, I can go check.

    Speeco 22 ton pump?? issues.

I did a search and didn't really come across the issue I am having.... Splitting wood today with my 22 ton. Had been splitting for better than a half hour. No problems. Next thing I know as the cylinder is retracting, it just stop about a quarter inch from all the way back. I dropped the...

True. But LP produces less H.P. too. Keep that in mind.

    Vermiculite/Mortar mixing formula for insulation?

I poured fireproof concrete, when I made my forced air OWB. It required portland cement, vermiculite, and perlite. 50% portland cement to 50% verm./perlite mix (80% vermic to 20 perlite) Mix dry, then add water SLOWLY.

My 28 ton speeco log splitter ordeal

You are looking at his a little backwards. The customer bought a saw from a competitor. to save a few bucks, not a substantial sum. The customer didn't bother to think, that Home Depot doesn't service jack. So when it breaks, like ALL mechanical things tend to do, where are they gonna get it...

My 28 ton speeco log splitter ordeal

Wrong on several levels..... One, if the dealer didn't sell you the saw, they didn't make ANY money on the saw. Warrenty repairs don't net the dealer the same money as a customer walking in for a repair. It is kin to your doctor giving the insurance company a discount as opposed to a cash...

    Back up battery?

From my experience with a power inverter, run off two deep cycle batteries, you don't want to do that. They don't provide power very long to something like that. This set up I speak of, is on the farm's service tuck. You are better off with a generator. Don't forget the switch box. Your...

    Log Spliter Welding

I worked welding for several years around here. Work on a farm for now (past 7 years or so). Some days I miss it. Most days I am happy not to be punching a clock and standing in the same spot all day, stooped over. Try the CO2. I don't think you'll be "hooked" but you should see that there is...

    Log Spliter Welding

Used to be there, not anymore though. The splatter isn't too bad on a MIG if you aren't racing wire and cranking heat.
