In Canada the 7900 is between 200 and 300$ more.

My only concern with the 7300 is the lack of dealer support in my area as well as the fact that Makita is getting out of the gas powered equipment in the couple of years.

Dolmar or Makita 510

Unfortunately they were sold as well Troll. I figure in about another 8 months I will be able to start rebuilding my collection.

Currently my only other saw is my Dolmar 5100...and I am not selling that. The 2055 was around 779.99 here when new.

So I replaced the tank vent line and the one way valve. I gave it a splash of fuel choked it, a couple pulls and it roared to life. I had the carb set at 1.5 turns each. Once it was warm I let it down to idle and everything was fine. Once I went to rev it up again it bogged and died. I fired it...

So the check valve should be towards the metal fitting then.

Ok, so here is the 2055 I picked up. I found a pinched line and have replaced it. The problem is I do not know what the line was for? Any guesses. I have not cleaned this up either. I got it this way. It has a sort of check valve in the line. It is not connected to the carb in any way...

I will be checking all the simple things first. It seems they are good saws. For 35$ I could not go wrong. The parts are worth twice that easy.
