    I have 4 different furnaces in my house, I have it installed on the returns on 2 downflow units, installed above the a coil on one, have below the a coil on another. I measure the duct temps, they run about the same. I cannot see any difference where the coil goes.

    Central Boiler t-bolt clamps pex clamps. I have seen these clamps they use them on their pex connections. I bought a few they appear to be Chinese made but anyone have any idea where you can buy these things in bulk?

    I used both high and regular silicone cheap expensive etc.... I personally cannot tell a difference. You are welcome to use the idea, we have tried it on the older boiler we used to make and it works fine. I personally prefer it over a gasket but in the manufacturing business it is not...

    Where or where to put the exchanger

    carful if below you may need a valve to bypass because the furnace may turn on if it thinks it is too hot. I have them on both side have 4 furnaces. Can tell little difference never burned up bearings using them for 10 years.

    ok here is a simple solution. 1. remove the gasket 2. where gasket was put a nice thick bead of silicone I prefer black 3. cover it with wax paper 4. shut the door but only lightly until the silicon sets up Once it is fully cured close door as normal. Perfect seal last long time and...

    get rid of the flue. if it is not insulated you are getting reverse pressure from the temp drop
