    McCulloch 310 chain break lever

    hi folks, trying to repair this saw which was dropped and the activater arm cracked. how is this removed? is it just punched out, from the outside of the saw? meaning, the "pin' that holds the bottom portion of the lever, how do i remove it? thanks

    i use two of the small Stihl carb adjustment flat head screw drivers and gently push each side of the ring into the piston groove, while holding the jug between the pinky and ring finger of each hand. once the ring is completely compressed, I pull down with the fingers on each side until jug...

    hi guys. is there a trick to installing new rings? do i gently pull apart at the gap and walk one side around the piston groove? this is the path i followed to remove the old ones and one of them snapped in two. i don't want the new ones to do the same. many thanks

    McCulloch Eager Beaver 2.1

    oak tree limb cracks trigger handle, chain break guard, and the metal portion of the chain break on muffler side of engine. trying to help a friend fix this saw. this is model 60013203 does anyone have a parts list, and good place to go for these parts? Not sure if any of the stuff on ebay...

    Valspar "Ford gray" I did the clutch cover and compared it with a new Stihl ... amazing. I am really finicky, and I really can't tell the difference. Pick it up at Tractor Supply from a response to a post on this site.

    no I did get the FW off. i wanted to do a really good job on painting, that why i was going to this extreme. i think maybe I am in a little too deep given what is needed. but this is good learning opportunity. i may take to local stihl dealer and see if they can pull FW and separate cases s well

    ok thanks. I just got the clutch off using the plastic handle of tuning screwdrive in the crank. thank god someone said reverse threads. I just removed the 4 screws that hold the crankcases together. should i now be able to separate the two halves? since clutch is removed? i could tape over...

    this is a stihl 026 pro. i understand your input on clutch removal. for flywheel, i removed the nut and to complete the removal.... is pulling it off with a tool or is there any unscrewing anything before pulling off with the tool. thanks

    i my previous post , i incorrectly assumed I would have no trouble taking the crankcase apart to paint. I was wrong. I have the nut off the flywheel but that didn't loosen anything . on the other side i have taken off the metal rim around the clutch that works the chain stop, but I don't know...

    hi folks, i am reassembling a Stihl 026 crankcase after painting. what do i need to do to ensure that the timing is correct? I have not done this before and wonder what ensures that fly/fan wheel wheel passes magneto at the correct time. Thanks

    Confused… If I buy a 20” bar with a .050 width, why do I need to know the number of links in the chain? Can’t I just buy a 20” inch chain, in this case a .325 , width of .050 so it fits in the bar, and that’s it. Would any .325 sprocket fit or do the number of links impact number of pins needed...
