    Jred 2152 H setting

My apologies if I this was answered previously and I didn't find it in search. Tuning my Jonsered 2152 and wanted input on the max no load rpm for high setting. A little info....I run 92 octane gas with additive to remove ethanol, strictly mixed at 50:1 with Husqvarna XP oil. Replaced the Cat...

    Bar question

Ok, so its time to replace the worn bar on my stock Jred 2171 and thought I'd get the opinion of the masses here on the site. I currently run a 24" bar and have had no complaints with it as it's handled most of what I do. I have thought about stepping up to a 28" bar as I do occasionally have...

    JRed 2152 Issue

Thanks, ran out of daylight and motivation so I didn't get too involved looking at it. Thanks for the input...I'll start there tomorrow.

    JRed 2152 Issue

So today I decide to cut up some firewood with my JRed 2152. Upon one of the start cycles the saw doesn't "pop" but seems to do more of a Backfire (sounded kinda like a pop but with more of a swoosh of air). Now the saw will only start if I hold it wide open throttle, but as soon as I let off...

What's the best backpack blower on the market?

In my part of the world....with the landscapers, tree guys and lawn services Redmax and Husqvarna are by far the most widely used. Stihl and echo on occasion but nothing close to the numbers you see with the other two. Sorry I don't have any model numbers for ya.

    Best vintage Husqvarna?

My vote for vintage is the 2100...had one on our crane truck for years and was the first big Husky I ran when I broke in to tree work.

    My Champ

Congrats on a real nice saw, I owned one years ago and it was always my "go to" saw... you will be very happy with it! I replaced it with a Jonsered 2171 which became and still remains my go to saw. Welcome to the site.

    Which saws would you want?

Have a 20" on my Stihl 036 Pro and happy.... but my Jred 2171 with a 24" is my go to saw all day every day

    Jonsered 455 slow/no oil

If cleaning the bar groove and such doesn't help, dump the oil out of the tank and clean tank. I pour a few ounces of fuel mix in the tank place the cap back on and shake well. Dump the fuel mix out and refill with bar oil. Sometimes from filling, sawdust makes it way in and clogs the pick up...

    Jonesred and husqvarna

When I bought my 2152 it had the "CAT" muffler on it....I swapped it out with a Non-Cat version and for me the saw went from being a good saw to being a really good saw. If you still have the cat muffler I would recommend swapping it out...( just my opinion and personnel experience..not gospel )

If you could only have one saw what would it be?

Despite the new rules... Still gonna keep my Jred 2171. Or if Orange is the only color in the "new world" Husky 372xp

If you could only have one saw what would it be?

Would have to go with my J'Red 2171 wearing a 24" bar. We've seen a lot of work together and it's never let me down.

What is the best tree climbing saw?

In my area most tree services use the stihl 200t or the newer 201t in the air. And in my opinion (for what its worth) they pack the most punch mod or not. The Huskys are a distant second around here and guys who run them like them. As far as the echos go they seem to have a great reputation...
