Nice score! I looked all over for used ones, finally gave up and bought a 27 ton Troy-bilt, very happy with it so far. But it cost alot more than $650:(

well,I didn't buy the one with those really nice flippy caps again

I'm with you man, i love the flippy caps on my 361. My old poulan had the caps that if you got them tight enought to seal then they would magically self-tighten to where a pair of channel locks was needed to loosen them, what a PITA this was out in the middle of the woods. +1 vote for the...

a John Deere dealer near here in Mayfield Ky has been carrying Stihl stuff since last fall, they had a nice looking display. Their prices were comparable with the other Stihl dealers in the area.

    New to me Husky 350

a buddy of mine has one, i've never ran it but he says it's a nice saw for the money. He doesn't burn wood but lives in the middle of the woods and always has trees to clean up, works good for him.

How much slower is safety chain than full chisel?

    Ahh I see, i didn't realize they don't offer a full chisel .325 safety chain, that's what i get for assuming.:D

what chain will be the best ?

Stihl RSC chain is the fastest cutting. But it also dulls the quickest in dirty conditions. That's what i use most of the time, just gotta keep it out of the dirt. I have 1 Stihl RMC chain that i bought for cutting trees out of the creek where it will be around gravel and sand. I haven't...

How much slower is safety chain than full chisel?

I don't think your gonna get a true test if you run a RMC3 which is a semi-chisel safety chain versus a RSC full chisel non-safety chain. Both chains would need to be either full chisel or semi-chisel to really see the difference between the safety and non-safety chain.

    What bar length?

    big wood vs. small wood

I prefer the big ones because they require alot less work:) but ya got to have some of the little guys too to get the fire going.

On The Way Home............short story of admiration.

That is a really great story, helping folks like that gives a feeling unlike any other. I love talking to my 83 year old neighbor who is also my 2nd cousin. He knows more about the old times in the neighborhood than anyone around. He recently brought over an 18volt rechargeable saw that he...

    Stihl ms280 question

Anybody know what year the ms280 went to the electronic fuel control with the little computer chip in it? If a ms280 saw has the external fuel adjustments does that mean it's a non-electronic model?

    new wood for me

definately looks like sassafrass. Good wood for getting things going but i wouldn't waste my time cutting load after load of it unless you have a market for it.
