    Stihl hedge trimmers

I have the KM130 with the HL 130degree attachment and it is very sweet! If I were to purchase another it would be the HS81R so I can get into the bigger stuff when necessary although loppers work best on that kind of stuff. The KM130 with the attachment was right at $700 but it was well...

    Circular saw blades for trimmer

I have a 40 tooth blade on a Tanaka trimmer. It is actually pretty useless as far as a brush cutter goes. The 3 tooth triangle type brush cutter has to be better than those saw type blades. The saw type just doesnt have the umph needed to get through alot of the bigger brush.

    Spark Plug 101

All of my 4-mix equipment has come with CMR6H plugs and my saws have come with both the Bosch WSR6F or the NGK BPMR7A plugs. I keep a box of both the Bosch and the NGK saw plugs and 2 boxes of the 4-Mix plugs because if it even seems like the thing is having a hard time starting, I change...

    Stihl MS-361 vs MS-390

Having used both and owning a 361, go with the 361! Much faster and seems to just chew through iron hard old oak with little problem. Yes having a 660 would be great but for now the 361 works.

    Question for the Stihl Experts

The deal itself sounds like a great deal. If you are looking for a saw that will knock your socks off, look seriously at the 361! I run both a 290 and a 361 and at this point, I see no use for the 290 any longer.... I will clean out the oil and fuel tanks and fog the carb/intake and lay...

    100:1?

If this is pointed at me, I did not like the white bottle oil because it was plugging up my spark arrestors. The black bottle does not do that. I also do not like the white bottle because it is JASO FB and not JASO FD. The black bottle is. I actually traded back a full case of the white even up...

    100:1?

75:1 Amsoil Saber Pro with 93 octane Marathon fuel for me in everything. I don't even carry regular fuel on my trailer because I don't need any mistakes being made when filling up. I have had 0 issues but I have only been running it this way for 3 months. Ran the white bottle Stihl...

    260 Pro questions

If you are looking at spending $500 on a 260, add another 80 and buy the 361 with an 18" bar. This saw will do everything you are looking for it to do and outlast you and your kids useful cutting lives. I just got a 361 and let me just say, speed wise and torque wise, none of the...

What kind of tree is this?

Could it be a standard Crepe Myrtle? Very similar canopy on trees that have had little to no pruning.

Creepy crallys while wood cutting (pics)

Thank you. I do know that they have to have some form of way to kill their prey but the poison they have is so small that it does not even leave a welt where they bite.

Creepy crallys while wood cutting (pics)

We call them wood spiders here in FL. At least here in Zephyrhills, FL. They bite like crazy but do not have poison so they just aggrevate the snot of you! They are in small places and when you reach in to do something, they are biting at once. I don't like spiders but at least they...

Why would anyone run 100 to 1 premix?

I run Amsoil saber @ 75:1 with Marathon 93 octane and 3 oz. seafoam in my 2.5 gal cans. I have backed it down to 75:1 because the stuff was just too heavy at 50:1. I was very resistant to anything other than 50:1 but Saber is just too good of a lubricant and rated Jaso FD/ ISO L-EGD at 100:1

    357XP vs MS361 vs Dolmar

MS361 will be everything you need for a long time. At least 1 month and then you will be in the market for a 441 and that will last even longer, at least 2 months before the 260 is calling out to you for the small stuff......:greenchainsaw: Personally I would go with the Stihl but that is...

    Fuel Filter Change?

Nope, just be sure the tank is empty and shake it a little with the cap off and you should see the filter and fuel line fall out of the hole. If the line is short, go buy a longer one and put it in with a new filter on it and it will make your life easier the next time you need to change it.

I feel like such a sissy

Scares the snot out of me. If you have ever been in a FL storm, you would really be terrified of the stuff. I was mowing a 4 acre field about a month ago and figured.... ahhh I am just going to put on my rain suit and keep trucking. NO WAY the lightning was following me as I was moving. I dumped...

    Equipment we use

Are you in the Brooksville/Ridge Manor area or even better Dade City? I would like to have the chance to work with a company to learn some better technique. My work for free for your training. I have all of my own equipment as far as saws and I am using a friends climbing gear until I am...

    Allright, list ALL your saws!

Picked up a 361 today. I am set now. I don't think I will be in need of any other saws for a while. Unless of course the shop gets in a 441......

    Allright, list ALL your saws!

Smallest to Largest: MS200T (new no gas in it yet) MS250 and MS025 MS290 MS026 Pro (Yes it is smaller than the 290 but it has way more nuts!) HT131 (New no gas yet) KM130 for daily use when not carrying the 131

Got a Kombi 130 with some Attachments... Photos

I also have the KM130 and carry it daily with the hedge trimmer and pole pruner/extension attachments because carrying the HT131 would be too much. The 131 has to go when it is a dedicated trimming day and I am not carrying my mowing equipment. Tons of power and easy starts...
