Don’t let ANYONE borrow your equipment…

As a general rule, I don’t loan/lend tools/equipment. Like some of you im the guy with the dumptruck, trailer, welder, tools/equipment. Makes you a target of sorts. People will go to you first to borrow or for help. That’s fine I’m usually happy to help. There’s also a handful of friends/family...

    57cc Honda powered MTD Ridgeline

MTD Made To Disintegrate Or Machine Tool and Die. Honda hasn’t made 2 stroke on a very long time, I don’t think I’ve ever see a 2 stroke Honda actually. Also, they don’t put their engines in junk. It’s a clone and not a Honda clone.

Chainsaw missing days after tree service visit

Whats your desired outcome from all this? New to the site, first impressions tend to last. Especially if you plan on sticking around a while.

Chainsaw missing days after tree service visit

Just a strange place to be going into all that detail. On a chainsaw site.

Chainsaw missing days after tree service visit

The saw is the least of your concerns man.

    Today’s haul

Tough to follow Bills truck load. This one was straight gassed. Left by the owner at the shop to junk. Might put a 390 in it. Saw is mint otherwise

    Today’s haul

350 parts saw. Haven’t pulled the muffler yet

    046 Magnum complete.

Now that lawn season has begun, this will likely be my last full saw build till late fall. Started with a clean, older 046 that was put out at the shop in town. Very rare a saw like this shows up. Was missing the clutch drum/parts, muffler cover, bar and chain. Had very light carbon marks on the...

    038 magnum test

Sort of. I used it to cut some dead oak that fell in my woods and it ran great. Today I had a 28” ash stump to lower. I should have put a 25” on it but I just grabbed the saw at 5:30 am as it was and left for work. Dug in just fine. I did a carb swap on it a few months ago and this put a good...

    Stihl 046 Project Saw

I just finished mine, seems to have a bad airleak. I have to test when I get back from my road trip. I looked and my mighty vac is vacuum only, I know they sell one that can do vac and press. My next purchase.

    Dying chainsaw plastic.

2 in particular, 036 and 046 almost seems like the plastic is deteriorating, it’s gritty. Otherwise the saws are fine

Chainsaw missing days after tree service visit

I had a back pack robbed off my truck one time. I was wrapping up in the front of the apartment in the ghetto part of the city and the my dump truck was out back. I had just bought it, 60cc Kawasaki, had just got married, bought a house had no money. Treated myself to something new which I never...

    Dying chainsaw plastic.

I might try this on a couple saws. Only problem is the plastic has deteriorated a bit, no longer smooth and glossy. Might try wet sanding first.

    Hmm Ego on the bench

Sounds right. I’ve pushed battery drills too far a couple times. You can hear it and smell it

    Hmm Ego on the bench

That’s what’s important. Get out there and get to work.

    Hmm Ego on the bench

Miracles do happen they say. I’d say swapping a 372xp for a Chinese battery saws counts.

    Hmm Ego on the bench

This one still functions. The brake doesn’t, unless it’s an electric vs mechanical? I was able to spin the spur in the locked position.
