My Homelite was $40 and I own it. Of course it's a real Homelite. Hopefully if a person rents the Chicom garbage they test start it BEFORE handing over their money. I have a feeling the saw is already trashed and he's trying to scam someone so he can buy a new one.
I'd buy the PP4218 Predator. It comes with a case, gloves, file, extra chain I believe, bar&chain oil, and 2-cycle oil. You do have to order it online but it's $13 less and includes free shipping.
As long as you aren't being careless and stupid a chain brake isn't really necessary on small Chainsaws. It gives those who aren't very educated about Chainsaws a false sense of security, just like "safety" chains.
I think everybody here that uses a Chainsaw planned to keep it that way when they started. Quite a few have had somekind of injury. I've been fortunate enough not to YET....
There's a Pawn Shop here in Kendallville. The owner likes to rip people off. He preys on those that desperately need money. If he offers you $10 for your item you'll end up with only $5 if you go through with the transaction.
