Just go buy an older, good shape 044 with a 20" bar on it and tear it up! You'll likely spend 3-5 but it will always be worth that for ever if you maintain it well. Depreciation factor 0%.

Just checked and it is over $100.00 for a new one so I think I'll just run her as is. The saw will only see an average of 10 hours per year anyways as I have 3 saws I want to keep in rotation.

Hey fellas, Quick question for ya. On my 044 the flywheel is missing one of the fins on it. Is it ok to run or do I have to pull the flywheel off and replace it? Are they just cooling fins? Thanks again guys.

There is the odd times when I come across some massive trees where a 24" bar would be handy but I see what other guys are saying. Maybe just stick with a 16" or 18" and a 20" to keep things simple.
