    Two 372xpw saws stolen

Here's what I've learned so far. Scumbag steals stuff. You report it stolen. Scumbag pawns your stuff. Police find your stuff and place a hold on it. If you want your stuff back, you pay the pawn note. If you don't pay the pawn note, you can wait for scumbag to pay restitution to the...

Update! Saws were found, and the cops have the thief on the run. But I'm told they are now evidence, and probably won't get them back anytime soon. Ain't that swell...

    Husqvarna 575xp? project saw

If you remove your muffler and spark plug, you should be able to peek in the cylinder and spot any damage. It'll be hard to judge compression without the starter, they need to be turned over fairly fast to build compression, or "drop test"...

    Husqvarna 575xp? project saw

If it were me, I'd use it for parts. But I've got a few saws, and not enough parts. You might luck out and find another, one with a scorched cylinder for example, and make one out of two...

    Husqvarna 575xp? project saw

They're not bad, a little less power than a 372 in stock form, but that's easily remedied. Parts are fairly easy to find, baileys will have most of what you need...

    Husqvarna 575xp? project saw

Sounds like you have a 575. Parts are plentiful, and a few interchange with the 372.

    semi skip or full skip

Half skip is a good compromise, skip tooth works best for those bar length cuts.

    Problem with 576

My 576 was a turd out of the box, too. Bench tested fine, but bogged in wood. I opened up the muffler a bit, tuned on the carb a few times. After that it ran as well as my 372..
