    038 super value.

Woah, correction. My bad. I was way off. I just checked ebay and my parts, non running 038 super went for more than that! The buyer payed: 1 item$255.25 Shipping$70.75 Tax*$22.84 Order total$348.84 My description was a loud and clear, non running, parts saw. This just sold the end of Feb. I had...

Which Saw to Keep? 372XPW or 562XP

Wise choice. 372's are not for selling. They're for replacing with another when the previous can no longer be repaired at any cost. When Husky stops selling them, we'll need to beat some corporate doors down in retaliation. :D

Stihl should be ashamed of themselves.

You do know there's a fuel filter down in there, right? ;)

    Husky 395XP

I doubt your plans to run a 32" on the 372 will stick around for too long after a cut or two, with a 395 sitting at your disposal. I've been getting by with a 28" on the 70cc 372 and now with a 395 w/ 36" bar, she'll be sporting the 28" and the 36" where needed and the 70cc will simply be...

    038 super value.

I just sold one on ebay. Let it go to auction as clearly a non running, parts saw and it went for $225 with needing at least a top end. The guy had to pay another 25$ in shipping, so the buyer payed your guys asking, for a non- running 038 super. I had a good 24" (pretty sure. at least anyway)...

Stihl should be ashamed of themselves.

Good analogy. Things down a carb, makes a saw go boom boom. Do these pills you suggest, come in orange too?:chainsaw: :crazy2:

Stihl should be ashamed of themselves.

Oh , I see what you guys are saying. So it only seals right around the carb opening, so naturally there would be sawdust under and around the rest. Still, the inside of the filter needs to be free of sawdust. Looking at this guys filter at the where it does seal and inside the filter, the...

Stihl should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't either. It just makes you wonder, is it just a matter of time or a sudden change of temp until she sucks in the dust? It would make me nervous, if that were my saw. Not you?

Stihl should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't work on my own saws but I don't have to, to know there's nothing good about that photo lol. You don't need to know much about how saws operate to understand that if Stihl doesn't do something to prevent that, those saws wont last long. They just wont. It doesn't make no difference if...

    Echo Saws, are they Dependable

Set them saws down and go pick up a fishing pole! What are you doing? Time to go enjoy life. Cuttings good and all but that stuff is way too much like work. :) Happy retirement!

    Top Handle climbing saw suggestions

The problem with the old husky 335 is, they wouldn't stay in tune. They were great when running and when you could keep them running and not losing end caps. I would call them a failure overall. The 334/338xpt were husky's best arborist saws. The had the same, nice ergonomics of the 335 but they...

    Echo Saws, are they Dependable

I wouldn't run one of their saws, as I'm a husky guy, though I've had a couple stihl too and will likely have a couple more, I got word back along that echo makes the best power pruners so I that's what I got and it's been good for many years, though It's only something used a few times a month...

New Husqvarna 572 today - first impressions and thoughts about kit saws

I'm aware. This is why it's so easy to always win the jobs, no matter the price, because homeowners value quality. It's like taking candy from a baby and some of these co's don't even know they're not getting outbid. They're getting out serviced.;)

New Husqvarna 572 today - first impressions and thoughts about kit saws

haha yeah, but I think the co. you work for has bigger issues than saws if they're hiring guys this careless. If they are so careless they'll run saws over, then how could you trust to even bring them to a work site at all? I think the person who's doing the hiring needs to be replaced. :D As...

    Diesel chainsaw

Probably too dirty to attempt today. If they did run clean for modern standards, I wonder if they would be any good for small wood? They wouldn't be snappy, quick revving like gas saws I wouldn't think. I bet a 90-120CC diesel saw would be fun though. You could probably lean right into it and it...

Husqvarna 372XP (non XT) good price or not?

Oh ok, cool. I'll take her to another shop then to be sure (Not of your info. I'm sure you know that. To confirm her bottom end is shot/irreparable, that is) Thanks!

Husqvarna 372XP (non XT) good price or not?

Yeah, it's the larger cc version. Can't a regular 372's jug and piston go right on in it's place though? If so, I'm ok with that. I never could tell the power difference anyway. When I replaced it with the reg, cus they no longer sold the xpw, I was just as happy with the saw.

Husqvarna 372XP (non XT) good price or not?

60 cc saw pulling a 2 foot bar. I just looked and see they sell them with 28" bars too. Man, it sure can't be argued that saws are getting more powerful.

Husqvarna 372XP (non XT) good price or not?

I suppose that's ok. My new 395xp came today, so I'll have this for years now. I wont need it too often, but man, it's sure going to be some nice when I do. I might not ever have to replace this one. She might last until retirement. I've had the 372XPW and a 372XP to replace her. If the 572XP...
