    500i no start

Helping a buddy with some storm clean up last Fri., running the 500i, shut it off, set it down, went to restart it a few minutes later, no start. Long story short, played with the kill button, started up OK. It seems I saw somewhere there is an issue with the kill buttons on the 500i, anybody...

    Wood Ministry firewood cutting/splitting day

I used to go to a church camp in Erie,Pa. to help cut and split wood for the camp, but they decided it was more cost efficient to hire a guy w/ a wood processor to do the job. Between housing and feeding 20 or so guys, I can see their point. Miss it though.

Oil cap came off, while cutting

I used a "T" handle with a flat blade on it to tighten the caps on my 044, oiled my leg several times prior to that.

How many saws in a class?

I'm down to 5 from 9. For a firewood cutter it seems too many, but it is what I enjoy and so do my son in laws enjoy running well maintained saws. I usually have 3 saws with me.

    Hard Cover for a Splitter

My thoughts exactly on the bed liner, I use a couple modified ones to cover my wood between my pine trees. Would work great for the splitter.

    Lightning Struck Oak

Again, I am no expert, just a firewood hack, but since I attended the safety course and learned the plunge cut method w/ wedges, I have felt much safer and in control. I cut them that way for many years as Jere39 does. Safety is my main concern, not being critical, ease off guys.

    Lightning Struck Oak

Not being critical, nice fall, but if you get the chance to take a chain saw safety course in your area, do it. After 40 some yrs. of cutting wood, I took it and learned a lot.

Sold Stihl 16" bar and chains

I stand corrected, I am unable to locate the original Stihl chain, so there are 2 Oregon 22BPX067G(NEW) and 2 Oregon 22LPX067G (USED and sharpened). If I come across the original chain I will throw it in. At 65 I git a little confused @ times. $80 shipped.
