    Husky 365XT won't start

Plug is wet, but not flooded. OE or aftermarket carb makes no difference. Fuel and impulse lines are good. This saw has less than 10 hours on it before it got trashed.

    Husky 365XT won't start

Got a 2020 365XT that burned up from bad gas/overheating/abuse. Put the hi comp PC on it from Maple Creek, and it will pop but not catch and run. Replaced the carb, but still just pops. Seals are good, replaced the carb boot with the carb. Spark is blue, but weak. Compression is 200psi. Is it...

    The unofficial Mac 10-10 thread

It's been a while since I checked in over here. Where did you get that wrap handle, Mark?

    Hutzl 365/372xp long block

I have a 365 X-Torq that lunched a piston, and took out the crank. Will all the X-torque parts bolt on to the older style long block? If so, it looks to be a cost effective way to fix this saw. I did a search but did not find anything about this particular situation. Just a lot of complaints...

    Smaller cc Poulan pics please!

Near new Sears Explorer II with Power-sharp. The original Barracuda chain (1/4") has never touched wood. Has standard 1/4" semi-chisel on it now.

    1/2 inch chain on 395xp :)

1/2" takes a helluva bigger bite per tooth. If he can keep up the chain speed, it can make a big difference.

Opinions on the best commercial firewood saw lineup on an unlimited budget?

^^ This. Just pick up any 70cc class saw to cut the tops and culls from a logging operation to length for the processer.

    McCulloch Chain Saws

Ron, you and Joey are the reason I can't find a 80cc Mac between Birmingham and Louisville. Mark, you get a pass on the cookie cutting, since usually you are knee deep in chips bucking up 3'+ Sycamores and oaks. With big gear drives. Or some other 87cc or bigger yeller thang.

    McCulloch Chain Saws

Now, I'm glad i stirred things up here, but let me clarify, please. When it comes to actually showing saws in action, the Mac guys are head and shoulders above some of the other saw owners on this forum. Most of us like them in their work clothes, but also appreciate the awesome restorations to...

    McCulloch Chain Saws

good to see an old Mac doing what it was designed to do. Not a picture of it cleaned up on the workbench, not a video of cutting cookies and squabbling over how fast or slow it is compared to the latest Stihlavarna, just putting lumber on the ground. Gotta love it!

Poulan 3400 went to its new owner- Reminded that my "junk" isn't junk to others.

I'd say the job ain't finished until you teach him how to file a chain. Just kidding, man. You've gone above what most would do. I'd like to think I would do what you did if presented with the same circumstances. God Bless you

    Husky 55 Bar Oiling

Try a new pump. My 51 oils like the Exxon Valdez.

    2 Stroke V8

Stock, they were 300 HP. I wonder how much the pipes, and presumably porting helped it?

    Nik's Poulan Thread

Now Roy, if you were so inclined to get rid of the 335, welll... I regret trading mine off, let's put it that way. :(

    Nik's Poulan Thread

Well, like you said yourself, it ain't a rare saw, even as NOS, as they do turn up here and there. Wasn't trying to put words in your mouth either, just stating as a collector's piece, it belongs in your collection, IMHO. And you are right, fuel lines and a chain, and disabling the Powr-Sharp...

    Nik's Poulan Thread

Well, I'll nudge you in the direction of taking Mark up on his offer. I'll go a little farther though, and suggest you trade for a newer version that will better suit your needs. The 3400-4000 series like your 3.7 is a great saw, but is rather heavy and doesn't have a great chain oiling system...
