    i got lyme disease

From a previous thread..... Found a J. Parasitology publication showing that in 6 lizards exposed to the tick nymphs no bacteria could be detected, but deer mice exposed to the same nymphs developed infections within 4 weeks. So the lizards destroy the bacteria in feeding nymphs...

    i got lyme disease

Do you know how long after the tick detached you started seeing the rash? If the rash was present while the tick was still attached or developed within 48 h of detachment you may only have a hypersensitivity reaction. If the rash keeps increasesing in size most likely is Lyme's. Cheers,

    026 won't idle

Does the saw start and rev OK but just not hold its idle? If so may need to adjust the LA screw clockwise until idle is OK, may also have to bring L out a bit more to richen it up.

replacing Brake spring on Stihl 029

Some of the service manuals show use of a Stihl tool - 1117 890 0900 Never used one so don't even know how the end looks - maybe an expensive version of a cup-shaped screwdriver? http://www.cdcstihl.net/downloads/2005_Spring_Issue.pdf

    026 compression

+1 The only time my 026 stopped was due to a blocked intake screen on the carb. Rebuild was amazingly quick, and saw is now running as sweet as ever...

suggestions on what saw to buy

Stihl 260 with an 18" bar would do fine unless you have to do a fair bit of bucking >20" timber. My 026 has run for years with minimal maintenance.... The 361 with 25" bar is also a very nice combo.

cannot start Stihl MS250 for the life of me!

Try just a single pull on full choke before switching to fast idle. If you keep flooding then maybe you aren't hearing the pop....

    Left-Handed Operator - First-Time Saw Owner

I'm a lefty too and until this post never even thought about the sidedness of chainsaws. In fact if I now had to reverse hands I surely couldn't do it. Was lucky enough to have some experts teach me some of the "do's and don'ts", particularly appropriate safety equipment, without reference to...
