    Weak 345 clutch springs?

Hi guys I have a Husky 345 here at the moment that wont disengage the clutch at idle. The saw will idle with the chainbrake on, but there is definite drag there. I stripped and carefully lubed bearing, checked that the drive lugs were seated in the oil pump drive correctly and checked for...

    Just ordered me some 543XP's

Sorry Mr60, it wasn't my intention to ruin demand for a line you have a dozen on order, sometimes I get carried away with the old Google CSI. Adam.

    Just ordered me some 543XP's

You know, its weird, I have been torturing myself about this all day. My 242, not xp, is a lovely saw, but just lately (since using a 345) I have been thinking a newer version would be nice. I don't want to big a cc saw, that would risk encroaching on the 262's territory and I have so much...

    Hot Husky! Overheating I think...

Terry, my saw mentor suggested I perform the same mod to my 288, saying that it would keep the filter much cleaner.288's have a 'window' where air-injection ducting looks like it could go, but is not installed. I'm just too sissy to drill holes in my hi-top, but I see his and your point. Adam

More dyno action. 100 octane vs 92 octane

Brilliant stuff, I love facts, they can still be mis-interpreted or mis-construed but at least they began as hard data. Down here we only produce 91 RON and 95 RON, 98 RON is available in major cities but is imported ex Australia or Singapore. No ethanol in the stuff we make locally (and I...

    Funny Online Auction

ranfurly1 and jedwan1 are two prolific saw/parts traders on trademe, but it seems they are getting a wee bit emotionally involved in the competitive side, calling someone jedwank or #### is hardly polite. see, I'm not even allowed to type D#CK.

    Husky 262

I know on my '90 262 those same tabs have worn right through the mag case, so that plastic is plenty tough. Adam.

    Funny Online Auction

Guys, I came across this saw on one of my searches through our domestic online auction site, TradeMe. One of the features that trademe has that I haven't noticed on your ebay is that questions asked of the vendor, once answered, become shown to all who view the auction. On this auction it is...

    We Have A Little Problem

It'll be the 242 and maybe 262 that need to be careful then...... Adam

    We Have A Little Problem

I participate in this community from 6500 miles away, and therefore unfortunately will never have the pleasure of getting to meet any of the good folks on here. Because of my CAD addiction and my home country's ridiculous pricing I choose to purchase parts etc stateside. There is a lot of trust...

    162SE scored piston

ST, is that specifically with reference to the p&c on the 630's?

    162SE scored piston

There seems to be two distinct 61's, around about pre & post 1986, and the early version seems very closely related to the 162. Is there a distinct change in the 630 versions too? Adam.

    162SE scored piston

If it turns out just to need a piston, The Greek on ebay "dandrikop/DLA" has them in Meteor, same as pre 87 Husky 61. Adam.

    Husqvarna 340/345/350 Jonsered 2141/2145/2150 Information

Cool, so the 353 cylinder is lower performance with limited potential vs 346, but easily solved with an entire p&c upgrade and a muffler mod. I'm liking where this might go! My 242 may be on borrowed time...... Cheers, Adam.

    Husqvarna 340/345/350 Jonsered 2141/2145/2150 Information

I came across my first 3 series recently, a '99 345. I've posted elsewhere how much I liked the ergo's compared to my 2 series saws, but the plastic case is a put-off for me. An '06 353 has just been listed locally, are they metal case? What's best course of action to get them 'XP-ing'...

    Husky 61 Advice Please

Scrolled through some Ebay listings, not our normal online auction option, we have TradeMe down here. Typing in Husqvarna 61 Piston gave me two AM options that seem familiar: Meteor 61/162 Piston ex Greece from 'dandrikop' Golf 61/162 Piston ex USA fom'Kafar85' Any one had dealings with...
