    SpeeCo log catcher

    built my own... mine is for a 22 ton splitter, but you should be able to get the idea. It just sets on and off, no fasteners to undo, just set it on the brackets or lift off..

    Air in the lines? Check for air in your lines ... do you have a valve in your system to bleed any air out?... I didn't see one in the pics...

    I too buy some of my fire wood by the tri-axle load. My favorite logger friend brings his tri axle with a knuckleboom and unloads log length pieces of hardwood, mostly oak and hickory, right beside my shed. A load will usually split and stack up to about 4.5 to 5 chords 128 cubic ft/chord...

    Which is the better deal?

    See if the dealer will let you watch him do a compression test and press/vac test... He will at least have to loosen the muffler to install some rubber so to seal it off before doing the press/vac test. Ask him to completely remove the muffler, and then inspect the piston...
