I got a g2000 Rule gas powered winch where I can't pull out the line by hand anymore. It pulls in fine, I just cant pull the thing out. Anybody know where or who works on that stuff?

I'm just a weekend tree guy. I'm probably what ya'll consider a hack. But I usually charge 200.00 for a straightforward takedown and I've been outhacked by some guy that does them for 100.00. Geez, it's not even worth it anymore. Outhacked by a hack. :cry:

Had the District Forester come out for a look at my Oak Wilt and he said he also saw signs of the White Oaks having "tatters". Said it was a relatively new problem ( last 10-15 years). Never heard of it. Anybody got experience with it?

Was topping a tree for takedown by a service line to a house. The tree was leaning over the line so I spiked up past the point where the tree crossed the line. Used a sling and pulley so we could lower down the top without hitting the line. Made the notch, started the back cut and tried pulling...

Got this 018 I use as a climbing saw and the chain oiler isn't oiling very much. Changed the oil filter, no improvement. Cleaned out all the holes, no improvement. Any other suggestions short of taking the whole ???? thing apart? (Never had this problem w/ Husky. ) Thanks

I have 5 acres with a bunch of bur oaks on them. There is a cluster or area where they're all dying off and its getting worse. Anything else I can do besides cut em all down and burn em to keep it from spreading? I think its oak wilt.:mad:

The Cedar Rapids Gazette covering Eastern Iowa reports an man died when the tree he was cutting fell on him. They offer no details of the accident. It happened on a Sunday so I assume it was a farmer or homeowner trying to drop a dead tree. Very unfortunate and sad. Probably a needless accident...
