    Old school cool

I reviewed the Olympic 254 before it came out and the few changes I suggested were incorporated in the finial design. As a salesman with Tilton Eq Co. I had all the models for demos. They had their problems like all saws, but overall, they were good saws that were well priced. I did find it...

    Jonsered 70E Flywheel

Hey Guys, After sitting for a few months, I started up my 70E and the plastic flywheel got pounded!! I can only assume the plastic was old, had cracked over time and came unglued when it started up. If this is a problem all the used flywheels will have the same trouble and NOS flywheels...

P55 over reving Check the linkage and if it looks good---the only other thing to check is the carbuertor block. I have seen the medal inserts sticking out past the block and when filed down flat, would seal up and run right. As you file you can see the high and low spots---just keep filing...

opening a chainsaw restoration business thoughts good or bad

Chainsaw Restoration Your looking at this the wrong way! While most will do their own saw work---what they do not have access to is restoration parts---paint, power coating, stencils and decals. If you have done the research and had Partner Yellow paint in stock, I would buy it, same with...

7000 Coil Thanks Guys!!! That helps alot!! I take it that the Husky 50, 51,55 along with the Partner 500, 5000 Jonsered 490 and 590 all have the same coil? That's a wide field which to look in.

    Chainsaw Fuel...

50 Fuel You have to know what your fuel use is and go according. If your saws are going to sit a while before us, or you just pull it out to saw a limb or tree and put it back, you better be using 50fuel. It just a plain fact of life now---the fuel we have today will go bad in just...

Lombard I used to work on those in the late '70s---they used to buy 600 at a time!! We sold a lot of them. Best story I have---I was brought a new out of the box Lombard Super to run out and adjust before it was taken home---when adjusting the high speed jet, it went lean, I spun the jet...

    Partner experts! 500 oiler question?

Partner 500 Oiler Gear I understand that there are several differant tooth count on these. You need to either match up the tooth count or get the crankshaft gear to go with it. The Husky 55 oiler may work. Check the part number against yours. You are correct, your gear looks good and should...
