not hitting things with the chain helps. if you are carefull you should be able to cut 5 or 6 good size trees before , a light hand file is needed.

i used the stihl kit. the hight was 50 thousands. the cost of the pressure gauge is the same as a new carb.

saw ran great 3 days ago.on sunday it would not run , it idled for 3 seconds and would not start after that. took the carb off and cleaned it up . its flooding badly . could the needle valve be stuck ?

my 462 has 8 tanks of fuel through it , with a 25 es bar .very good power. better than my old 044.

I think the china coil is not right for the 044, very hard to start. revs up to 6to 8k and will stay there for a few seconds and dies. i will get a used oem coil this week and try it. saw was running great befor the coil died.

my 044 coil gave up.its the one it came with in 1995. i had a cheep coil from amazon, the one that fits all saws.it fires up,but high rpm .and can not slow it down. so is the coil from baileys the same one from china?
