    Project 066, with pics.

If he has no light and no switch it is possible the wiring harness isn't original to the saw and someone just snipped the extra wire when the installed it.

Pulled the trigger on a 361 today

I thought someone on AS said all 441's were duds??? If I read it on AS it surely must be true. ;p

    Finished up the 066 RL

Mine didn't originally and it still isn't installed but I do have one for mine now, thanks to Ultra.

    Stihl in Mexico

Boss 351 is my preference, and they are even heavier then the B2! LOL, finally the undercarriage and engine compartment on one of mine is painted!!!

    Choice of saw

The 361 is too heavy for limbing all the time IMHO...at least for a non pro wussie like me. I much prefer my 026 or 200T for limbing, the 200T is a hell of a good running saw and is very very light.

    If you had to choose

Husky, because who else is there besides Stihl? Just kidding of course but I thought that was a good one ;p

    ms 361 muffler mod...my 2 cents

I haven't done anything with the existing exhaust hole where it comes out of the muffler but I did open the tube that goes to the hole on the end where it was rolled. It is now the full ID of the tube at the end.

Who in America will ship DK-20K tacho to Australia

I nominate Brad since you guys have done business recently but if he wouldn't do it I could, I am sure someone with better connections will step up though.

    Question for you woodburners.

Dan, my wife and I would like to build a new house in the near future. We live where my parents and I moved when I started highschool and we have been burning wood there ever since. When we build we would really like to not have the wood mess in the house mostly for ash and potential downdraft...

Smoke Backdraft & Outside Air Kit

Is the chimney high enough above the peak? I believe 3' above any roofline 10' or closer is the "spec" but it can't hurt to be a little extra above that.

    Bench mount chain sharpener

+100 on the Northern Hydraulic grinder. Well worth the 100 bucks shipped it will cost you.

    New hotblast stove

Stihl is hard to beat for dealers, and the 361 is a hell of a saw. My choice was a used one though, just saw a ported one here on AS for 465.

    Chain Catcher????

Volks, finally got mine today even though the dealer added on the shipping charge...msrp + shipping on a part that was back ordered for a month burns my ass. Anyway, I left both on as well.

    What about fuel cans?

I use a 5 gallon VP fuel can that we used to use for our dirt bikes. Clear plastic so I can keep an eye on how much fuel I have left easily. Probably available in any dirt bike shop or online through denniskirk or some place like that. Not cheap though but handy with the flexible fill hose and...

    new installation

We use a square desk mat for our wood mess control. Nice looking install but agree you need something for the wood mess and at least a fire resistant rug or something in front of your tile so you don't singe up the carpet.

    old stihl 041

Ran a couple tanks through mine today and decided it is gonna have to stick around for a while longer. I intended to get rid of it after I got the 361 but I just can't bring myself to do it. The 361 is a nice saw, cross that, a great saw...but the 041 is just a super sweet tool and I enjoy...

    Lawsuit against arborist site

You just about gave me a heart attack! That would suck but not surprise me in todays society. It's always someone else's fault.

    old stihl 041

HOLY BALLS that is an OLD one!!! GREAT looking saw though, I would hang onto it. Much much older then any of the ones my dad or I have.

    Dumb muffler mod question

Better to error on the side of caution though and have it a little rich (burble) then lean (scream). Not hard to stop cutting, get the screwdriver out and fine tune...but some people want to put on non rev limiting coils so they can tune with tach. LOL, just bustin Brad's balls with that one...

    Chainsaw Help

If you aren't going to cut bigger wood with the bigger bar then it would handle it nearly as well as the current bar. If you are going to try to cut bar deep then it will probably not handle it well.
