Same deal Redbug nailed it. I had the same problem or issue. I threw the ???? saw(family heirloom no less) I got so pissed and it came down to me hitting debris and strong arming the right side cutters. Grinding brings it back to even.

Stumps kill cutters I'll learn the hard way. I like to trim the stumps down as far as I can so I don't have to grind as much and that is the key to my problem. Thanks for the eggs Mark!
