    Wood Identity

Hi, can anyone identify what type of wood this Adirondack chair is made of?

    Menards AW46 Hydraulic Oil

Wow you're not kidding, at $95 for 5 gallons. That's what I paid for 10 gallons of Sam's Club hydraulic oil. It's listed as AW-46 R&O hydraulic oil.

    Hydraulic Oil For Log Splitter

Apparently I don't have to be concerned about who makes the AW-46 sold at Sam's Club so that's what I'm going to use.

    Echo CS360T dies

It doesn't always die at idle I can be cutting wood for 10-15 minutes maybe and it'll idle down each time but then all of a sudden I go to make a cut pull the trigger to rev it up and it just dies. Then I have to choke it to restart it and it runs fine for a while but then ends up doing the same...

    Menards AW46 Hydraulic Oil

Thanks, it appears to meet the specifications which are simply stated as AW-46. Since Sam's is also classified as RO I can't see any reason to not use it. Glad to hear you've had good success with it.

    Hydraulic Oil For Log Splitter

My SpeeCo 25 ton splitter holds 6.5 gallons but the cylinder got pretty hot when I was splitting wood from a BIG black oak that blew down during a storm several weeks ago. Split about 2 cords in 70 to 80 degree weather. Haven't changed the oil in several years but this was an unusual amount of...

    Hydraulic Oil For Log Splitter

I usually wait for cooler days but generally somewhere between 40 to 80 degrees. Any hotter is too much work for me.

    Menards AW46 Hydraulic Oil

Sorry, the title should be Sam's Club, not Menards.

    Hydraulic Oil For Log Splitter

Anyone know anything about the AW46 hydraulic oil sold at Sams Club? It's labeled "Certified R & O Hydraulic Oil AW-46 - 5 Gallon Bucket, $43.98" but I can't find out who makes it. Any information will be appreciated. I'm thinking of using it in my SpeeCo 25 ton log splitter.

    Menards AW46 Hydraulic Oil

I'm changing the hydraulic oil in my 25 ton Speedco log splitter and saw this at Menards, $43 for 5 gallons. Is this a good deal and is it any good?

    Echo CS360T dies

How long can you store a saw with non-ethanol fuel and stabilizer? Sometimes I don't use this saw for a few years.

    Echo CS360T dies

Homeowner with seldom used Echo CS360T. I modified the muffler as instructed on AS and tuned accordingly. I run Echo red armor oil mixed 40/1 in all my saws and run them dry after each cutting session. I always keep my air cleaners clean. Lately the saw is dying for no apparent reason. I try...

Have land - Need a chainsaw

I went overboard and bought a Husky 562XP 60cc with a 20 inch bar about 6 years ago. Absolutely love the little beast. But they run around $750 now so that's over your budget. Stihl MS362 is around the same price. ammoaddict's Echo 590 suggestion fits the bill for your needs and sells for $400...

If chainsaws were NOT 2 stroke, would you still enjoy them?

When I was a kid working on the farm bailing hay my uncle would yell "hey, run and get some more of det cord."
