    Rancher 455 coil wire

Greetings Jim, Thanks for taking the time to answer, I was about to cut down a standing dead, when my daughter motioned me to shut down the saw asking; "Do you want to eat breakfast first?" The saw never ran again, Thinking it was flooded I pulled the plug and cleaned it up a bit with what I...

    Working on building a sawmill

Sorry I missed you, Had a look at your mill. I'm interested because I too am building a mill. Your last post was in a while ago. Wondering if you've done more on your mill. I'll check back to see if you add a post. Maybe we can compare notes. Have a great day. Richard

    small bandsaw mill

Hi, I see no date on the above posts, don't know how active they are. I'm working on a mill now, wouldn't mind being able to see more of the bandmill shafts and their attachments. I have 19" pulleys for band wheels, shafts and pillow blocks and an 18hp kohler engine.

Ya gotta love a good oil thread.

Jughead, How much Marvel oil do you add? I use Marvel oil in everything except 2cycles, I've been temped to add a bit in my chainsaw mix. I've read that marvel oil was used in WWII fighter planes. I've run it in engines that were gunked by old fuel, and had it clean the carb and what else...

Ya gotta love a good oil thread.

I like oil threads! Some of the posts however sound like they were written by a fellow with a paper 904jrg0. Many years ago I used straight motor oil as per the instructions that came with the saw, this was in the 70s. Than I began using cheep 2cycle like Valvoline. Now I use Homelite 2cycle...

    Oil and Fuel

Last year I started using Homelite 2-CYCLE OIL at 50 to 1. My saws call for 50-1. I'm happy with the Homelite. Some of you guys are suggesting: more oil say 40-1? Always in the past I ran my saws richer, more oil, I did have a fouling problem a while back running richer, gunked up rings on...
