Absolutely. My firewood hauler is a 2.7 liter 4x4 tacoma. The key is to have a trailer! I don't miss an 8 foot bed at all when my 6' bed and 12" trailer are loaded.

I didn't notice anybody asking yet, but is the OP gonna at least post pics of the 4 wheeler before, during, and after repair if somebody already gave him the money? Sort of like the pic they mail you when you "sponsor a child" from the tv ads.

I never stopped scrounging, cutting, and maul splitting. Even on the hottest days I'll devote 20 minutes to either cutting rounds or maul splitting rounds in half. Who cares how hot it is when you're only devoting 20 minutes or so. This method has me so far ahead at this point it's rediculous.

update Now that some weeks have passed, it seems as though watering my woodpile wasn't a new hobby my new neighbor was cultivating, like Ljute's oprah book club hobby. It was apparently just a one time mistake. But it made for a good thread, and I guess everybody gets their woodpile watered...

Tractor supply only sells cheesy husky saws so paincow rarely goes there.
