    Jonsered 455 & 451e Doing Farm Chores. Mix Work & Hobby :)

Having the farm means non stop maintenance , and this time of year that include cleaning up after winter where we had a LOT of wind and blow downs. So since this is NOT production work, why not use hobby saws?

A true work saw build? Or hobby saw. A 394 OEM to Hyway 395

Did this a couple years back. First video the bones to running with a Hyway top end. Then a couple of felling video's with that saw. Not sure if I had posted these as they aren't showing up in the search. But with so much focus over the years of fast saws , modded saws, and cookies, I wonder...

McCulloch "Pro Mac 60" & Jonsered 70e with a little 562 mixed in

Back to the vintage saws for me for a while. Taking a break from the production mentality & logging Actually had a 562 in the beginning, a real comparison for certain. :)

    East Coast Veneer

Saw this, and I relate to this dude. I appreciate the approach focusing on things like bore cut from front and sides to minimize pulls nd chairs... hinge in root flare, not valuable wood IF Possible ( Sometime this isn't possible ) ... Maximize how much is harvested cutting close AND less stump...

How to start an argument? Future of gas powered saws ?

So a chat in a video. If "your a hammer everything looks like a nail" moment as there is too much to type on this. So an opinion , nothing more :) What seems to be the trend for the next few years :) AND starting the firewood season :) Attempted to "dampen" the battery chat with some real two...

Myth Buster , A Husqvarna 572 has WAY more power than a Husqvarna 575 Right?

DO Simple Mods like on the HTSS DO anything but make noise? Will the 572 modern saw stomp on the lowely 575, the scourge of the Husqvarna pro saw world? And what can you really learn with those "one" cookie cut video evaluations. " Actually did this video with another YouTuber in mind. The one...

    Husqvarna 281 vs. 575

Something to think about, how a few folks online can really alter the success of a product :)

Taking tree's down around the house & out buildings. Why not use a winch?

Logging winch, open face cuts, heavy hinge, common sense to remove trees

    Homelite 925 ( A Whopped One ) vs. A NEW Husqvarna 585

Always fun to review how progress has advanced the state of the are, or has it? Did a "ligher" for fun one almost ten years ago with Bob, time to setup and do another in between jobs

    Love this guys video's

This is a different planet from where I cut. Impressive to say the least. SO for me? Like watching a reality show. And watching a fellow who obviously knows what he is doing :) Great way to start a morning before going out to spend the day essentially felling "brush" as compared to this stuff :)

Husqvarna 562xp "tweaked" vs Husqvarna 572xp "tweaked" in the woods comparison.

Trying a little different approach to saw comparisons, bring then out and just use them , video places where differences show up and then do the analysis. A lesson over the years for me has been its hard to predict simply from cookies and a spec sheet who they feel when being worked. SO this is...

    Hobby Farm & Logging Priorities.

Typical day. A discussion on approach to felling "compromised" maple with taps and a hollow. This one started with me wanting to show the differences between running a 562 vs. 572 in these maples where the sap is just pouring out and the chips plus sap jams up the B&C. Ended up somewhere else...

Husqvarna 572 "tweaked" vs. A Husqvarna "clone" 372 tweaked

Basically a 572 with more compression and a muffler mod vs. a clone that had blown up and was built back with an OEM crank , piston , had a muffler mod and the intake "gutted" This also is a "study" in how too much bucking spike can alter a test

    Husqvarna 585 Trials & Tribulations. We Evolve , Tweak & Tune a new 585

A little real time experience as this saw enters into the work rotation for me. A couple of service bulletins and this is normal as this essentially is a "new" model and will evolve as all Husqvarna's do over time. Being an early version, I have to evolve as well. Also Husqvarna "Saw Shop"...

Husqvarna 372 X-Torq Case & Bottom End "Tips" to reliability

A review of around 12 years of sticking these 372 X-Torq saws together. Starting with a solid bottom end build. ESPECIALLY the ones who try to get more power from them. JUMP to minute 3

Couple of Junk pile builds back on line and pitted in a head to head cookie event

Just have a few tanks thru this 572 I brought back from dead. It's a nice looking (now) and solid performing saw pitted against... That Holzfforma g372xt I tore into way back in 2019 or so. It had all kinds of issues as documented in the videos of that era. Worked my way thru most of them and...

A snap shot testing & working with project saws :)

Pretty much a typical year in the woods and where the project saw often how they pay for themselves for the last few years.

    Some Chainsaw Chain "Basics"

John Adler covers a lot of ground. Sometimes we miss the basics when we get all caught up in YouTube video hype. ONE of the beauties of places lie Arboristsite.com is we can have discussion here in the forums to grind thru the theory and data of a particular subject. On YouTube, as great as it...
