I am having a really wierd problem with my 038. It is broken in now and starts,runs and idles great for the most part. Every 1-2 tanks of gas it starts starving for fuel. I pull the fuel filter and blow it out and it runs great for 1-2 tanks then does it all over. The filter seems to be plugging...

Howdy.......Does anyone know of an after market cylinder or p&c kit for the MS390? I see that several people have rebuilt with a 290 after market kit. Seems like a pretty big downgrade to me. I can find pistons and 290 kits but no 390........Thanks Bob:chainsaw:

I was figuring on brazing on deflectors and screen keepers with a screw to hold the screens in. I have never had screws fall out either. They tend to tighten up with use. Bob:chainsaw:

Howdy.......What temp silver solder do you use? What flux do you use? The solder usually comes in easy, medium and hard. The harder it is the higher the temp. I too have brazed lots of things with silver. Kind of spendy but pretty dang handy. Going to try. a couple of muffler mods. 044 and 046...

Thanks. I really like this saw. I am pretty sure the tank/handle assembly must be aftermarket for the newer models. It was a perfect matchup with no mods. The flippy cap even seals and works good. I showed it to one of my feller buddies, he pointed at the cap and yelled "abomination" he's sort...
