    Echo 440EVL Oiler Removal

Lines looked/felt OK from what i could see without tearing it apart further. Dropped the saws at a local dealer that has been around for decades, so they should be able to sort it out.

    Echo 440EVL Oiler Removal

Can't seem to find what i need on my usual outlets (Google, You tube, Online Manuals) so I'm hoping someone here has the info i need. I have an older 440EVL on which the oiler has stopped working. This is the "screw-type" oiler that has the adjustment screw peeking out under the air filter...

    028 wood boss

I agree with everyone on checking for correct carb tuning. As a second thought, if you still have problems, check your fuel lines. A partially pinched hose or even a pin hole in your pick up hose will cause erratic fuel feed. I had the exact same problem with my 046 and found my fuel line was...

    Used Stihl prices

Not sure about, the 075, i havent come across too many. But for the size, it sounds like a reasonable price. Of course, it would depend on the condition also. As for the other 2 saws, if you can get them for $400, that would be an absolute steal if they both run well! But...... from a sellers...

Thoughts on best chain for MS362?

I recently switched from buying Oregon chains to Carlton. My new saw had a Low Kickback Stihl chain on it, and I had a Carlton made to replace it. The Carltons seem to last longer between sharpenings.

Muffler mod on saws with factory dual port mufflers? (046 Mag)

I'm looking to get a little extra out of my 046 Magnum. A large port muffler was at the top of my list, but I have heard conflicting opinions about this modification on saws that already have factory dual port mufflers. Does it give good enough results to spend the time or money doing it? If...

How can I restore discolored plastic on my Stihl?

Thanks to all for your advice. And by the way, when you have almost a thousand dollars invested in a saw, you want it to look good. And you want other people to admire it... even if it is going to get beat up.

How can I restore discolored plastic on my Stihl?

:chainsaw: I finally gave in and went bigger. Last week I bought an 046 Magnum. It was claimed to be rarely used, and after inspection, that looks to be true (at least, mechanical and engine-wise). However, the same can not be said for the plastic covers. They just dont do the saw justice. No...
