I would say a 24 inch would be max for a 041. i had one and i ran a 18 on mine and it had a lot of grunt to go threw wood. So anything from 18 to 20 would be ideal for it.

thats what they told me the last time i broke a chain while cutting fire wood. but i had a spare chain to put on my saw. And the one i broke it went in the trash can.

well the spikes didn't look that bad rusted when i got them. i had them behind my seat on my truck and they have been there for about 6 months.

Well i know how to use the spurs and flip line. But to really tell the truth about the saddle i really don't know how to use it. I been trying to find a class to go to so i can learn how to use it and some more equipment.

Ok i got an extra set of spurs that has longer spikes on them. I'm goin to look right now and see what the pads,straps and replacement spikes will cost. Then i'll look for a saddle,rope and a flip line. Then what else will i have to have to be safe when climbing tree's ?

I'm going to get new pads and straps.Then i'm going to bead blast the spikes and then give them a good paint job where they will not rust again. What other gear would you all suggest me getting?

Thanks struggle i'll give that a try. I got a member on here that bought a solid state coil and he said the saw still isn't getting spark for some reason. I'll let him know about this forum here maybe you all can help him out.
