I pulled it off it looks clean but what im guessing is the engagement spring spins then the pawls dont engage and sometimes it wont spin then tthey wiil engage i tried to tighten the screw ti hold it and it worked for one pull
When I pull it, it pulls out freely it will pull the cord back in but it isnt catching the flywheel so the saw wont start not sure how to fix this the saw is a stihl 064. Thanks in advance for any advice.:confused:
to the op where in nw ohio are you at. I dont have any parts for you but am getting ready to move due to a divorce and downsizing things. If you need a saw to get you by I got a poulan pro or or a mcculloch 610 Id probably give away.

definitely cut at a comfortable height, I could always make the felling cuts decent but it took a long time for to cut a straight stump lol Im guessing because its uncomfortable to cut so low.

man that is a bad saw I scored mine running from an older guy at a garage sale for 40 bones i love that saw I run a 24 on it and it just doesnt stop. Its a great stumper too cuase of all the torque
I would think they would be scared of customers bringing in blown up saws, and Im afriad they will tell me I blew it up somehow. Then ill be hosed on a 600 dollar saw. Im very disturbed by this since if I do it I void my warranty
