346XP needs replaced....it's at 90 PSI, what saw is comparable today?

Not sure what you mean by efficient, that needs defined, but the downdraft wood gasifiers are about 80-90% efficient. Also there are rocket mass heaters that are really impessive and super low wood consumption. To compare accurately it comes down to BTU per unit of fuel and that is hard to do...

346XP needs replaced....it's at 90 PSI, what saw is comparable today?

no idea what a "24 federal cord log truck" is....24 cords per winter, must be colder there and an older furnace. But again, natural gas, propane, oil...you can't source that from down the road but if you have JUST one 346XP it will cut any tree and if you put the right gas in it I have heard...

346XP needs replaced....it's at 90 PSI, what saw is comparable today?

When I consider that the price of fossil fuels will not continue to decline over the long run I am forced to reckon with two competing thoughts: buy fossil fuels from the man or stick it to the man before he sticks it to me. I prefer to be as self sufficient as possible and heating with wood is...

346XP needs replaced....it's at 90 PSI, what saw is comparable today?

Focus.....OK, so @PA Dan told me using 10w-30 in the gas tank was a bad idea...so now I know. The saw passed both pressure/vac tests. Neither crank seal was leaking. We noticed that the impulse line was very loose on the nipple on the carb and it is suspected that it caused an air leak and...

346XP needs replaced....it's at 90 PSI, what saw is comparable today?

It's been great to me and I try to go slow and not get in a hurry. I bought the saw with an 18" bar but later put a 16" on it and it feels more balanced and powerful. I'm a pretty small dude and wanted a light, nimble saw that would get it done and not tire me out too quickly. I would love a...

I cut all sizes with the 16" bar, but normally nothing bigger than 32"...it's not how big your bar is, it's how you use it.

346XP needs replaced....it's at 90 PSI, what saw is comparable today?

I use my 346XP for felling, limbing, bucking and climbing....I am sure some of you will get all geeked out by that but the reallity is we all do the best we can with what we have and can afford. For those of you that think one saw isn't enough I get that, but why do you need 8 saws, or 12? I...

Yep, one saw, one man and all I did for those 11 years was change fuel filter and plug...once. I run a 16" bar and for the big suff I run a 16" bar, twice.

Right now one saw that we are fixing...but when I bought the 346XP I was told to sell all my saws because the 346 was so perfect it would never go down...lol. I get most of the wood by myself from the woods, I'm a maniac and I cut like I've never cut before. Normally I have all of my wood by...
