    Picking a woodstove

I've used the energy max 110 for maybe 12 years now. Great stove...Simple, Long burn times, built like a tank. I haven't done anything to it other than empty ashes and yearly clean. https://dsofpa.com/wp-content/uploads/DS_Brochures_EnergyMax_2021_ToPub_HighWeb.pdf

I have the last generation of the one that Saxman has...37 ton. It works well for me. Ditto his comments.

LOOKING FOR PICS OF TRAILER MOUNTED CRANES

Some advice...Be sure you won’t damage your truck, should the load swing uncontrollably when the trailer is not level. If I was mounting a crane to the tongue, it would definitely be some type of mechanized rotator. My crane will swing 270 degrees. It is almost impossible to contact my truck...

LOOKING FOR PICS OF TRAILER MOUNTED CRANES

In my experience, a 3500 lb winch will struggle dragging a 2000lb log and definitely won't lift it while using a single line. If you use a snatch block and double it up, maybe. There are times when my 5000lb struggles single, but at that point I have to be carefull with tipping it over. I have...

LOOKING FOR PICS OF TRAILER MOUNTED CRANES

Before I built my crane, I parbuckled up the ramp, from the rear with a strap type manual boat winch. worked very well.

LOOKING FOR PICS OF TRAILER MOUNTED CRANES

Sure would help at times. For logs I simply load some small ones on the far side for counterweight before picking heavy ones. That mill weighs about 1600 lbs.. If you look at the far side of the trailer, towards the rear, I have 4 elevator weights as a counterbalance. I thought about...

LOOKING FOR PICS OF TRAILER MOUNTED CRANES

Half bought half built. Bought an engine crane, made the post mount and pivots. I take it off, when needed in the garage. Trailer needs to be fairly level, which I can usually back up onto a block if needed. Works well. Thanks!

Mounting a truck crane onto a trailer

There is another crane available that rotates 360 and gives more height than the OP shows. I think the were around $200. They even had them capable of mounting in a receiver hitch. Not Harbor Freight. Maybe EBay. Thay aren’t near the lifting capacity, though. It all depends on what you want. I...

Mounting a truck crane onto a trailer

It is a 2 ton Harbor Freight engine crane. I made the column and mounting system for it.

Mounting a truck crane onto a trailer

I only jack one time at the start of the day to set up. The winch does the rest.

Mounting a truck crane onto a trailer

I mounted an engine crane to mine. Rotates 270 degrees. Has remote with 5000 pound winch. Works nice for everything from logs to Milling machines. You have to remember to counterbalance heavy lifts and any time the trailer isn’t level, the load will try to swing down hill. I drive the wheels...

    Eastonmade Wood Splitter

Well there’s an hour and a half of my life I’ll never get back.

    Opinions on this splitter.

I agree. Maybe a little less hook on top.

    Opinions on this splitter.

Someone will be hit with hot oil with razor knife like ability to cut at the 4250 psi and it won’t be pretty. That nipple won’t last long nor will the stand pipe off of the cylinder.

    New ds stove.. got questions..

What Del said. That stuff is to stay inside. If you get those pipes hot enough, they will catch fire. That pipe looks to be the thin "vent type". I would get the thick stuff, get the joints in the right direction and loose the tape.

    Messing around with something electric

I see a Mono sitting there. I have a 6024, that I was just running yesterday. It is going to be restored and pretty much turned into a wall hanger.

    Seasoning wood in the shed

You say you are 5 years ahead. Why not try tthe stacking in the woodshed and if it doesn't work out, have one of your other piles covered toward this fall, so you can use it, if need be. I have an old 6 x 12 enclosed trailer that I stack wood in. I peeled the bottom open slightly and cut 3...

Chain won't spin after tightening the nut

It may not have to be a Husqvarna dealer. Anyplace that works on chainsaws should be able to see what is Going on. Explain to them what happened.
