We have some really tall trees in the woods that don't have an branches for a good 20 up i've alway called them red oaks but wondered if they might be pin oak. seems like the barks as those shiney lines in the middle i saw some pics of red oaks like that when i google them

Yes northern red oak vs pin oak. I've googled and google and they have such similarities that i still can tell an exact difference. So how do all the branches point on a northern red oak?

Wondering if you run a 16" bar with a 8 pin rim could you put a 7 pin rim on it with a 18" or 20" bar and have about the same power. Just how much power difference is there when you go up or down a tooth % wise.

Isn't it suppose to burble at wot and not clean up till you put a load on it?

Ok I think i get it now, when you richen it up to start 4 stroking it's dumping more fuel than the saw can burn an full throttle, because it doesn't actually fire on every cycle cause the piston is turning to fast, but when u put it in a piece of wood and reduce rpm a little it can keep up...

So why does a saw 4 stroke, and why does it clear up when you put a load on it.
