    Any 80s Toyota 4X4 Truck/Runner fans ?

Here's my BJ60 (1984) bought it in '85 (it was just six months old), daily driver till 2012, now my fun ride when the weather's snarly or good! Just under half a million on it, and has outlasted four very good dogs (back seat pilots)... Thought I might fit the stihl to the front bumper as a...

My favorite big beasts. What's yours!

I've got a few bigger saws all enjoying retirement here with me, two 2100cd's, a poulan S6000, a beat up 070 and a mint 090av. Hard to say who's the favorite, 'cause at our age just being a survivor is the main thing!

    Chain spinner take-up handle question

Hi guys, years ago I got given a chain breaker and spinner set, unused, but were missing a few bits. They are the older Italian made Tecomec/Oregon units. I finally decided to get them in use, so made a handle and got an Oregon adjustable anvil for the breaker, and also two spinner anvils from...

    Full wrap handles

X2, mostly falling, clutch side up, cuase sometimes the size of the tree or the sidehill will force you on the offhand side.

    Poulan 6000 Counter Vibe

I think that the poulan 6000's were all 152's and the S6000's started out as 152's (with a 153 type handle) and then later full 153's. I have had S6000's with both 152 and 153 serial numbers (wigglesworth has them now).

    logging archaeololgy

The "wet" coast out here is full of of old abandoned gear (once you get away from  civilization), from donkeys to rigging to camps, but the neatest thing I ever found in the second growth was an old axehead with the handle just about rotted off. Cleaned it up and it turned out to be a...

    McCulloch 1-50

Wow, that brings back memories....! My old man bought one of those new and it was what I learnt on, falling, bucking, swearing.... A heavy brute for sure and tempermental as h3ll when it didn't want to start, but tons of torque and power for a 24" bar. Here's a shot of me in 1974 bucking some...

    2100cd milling problems

Looks to me like the oil seal is still in the oil pump casing, where it lives. You'll want to get a new o-ring for the back of the casing as well as the other parts. Make sure you clean out the clutch bearing grease hole bore (in the crankshaft) while you're at it, you don't want to force any...

    vegetable oil

Had to clean up a little Husky 136 a local arborist had been using with veggie oil for bar oil. He'd not cleaned it when he put it away a year ago and the oil had set with the sawdust just like half cured fiberglass... the only thing that would cut it was straight gasoline and a lot of scraping...

    Flywheel puller

Don't forget the puller for the big saws (070, 090 and the 880 (I think)) it's p/n 1106-890-4501, and a couple of bucks more than the mid size one, but worth it's weight in gold.
