switch out piston in big bore kit

Well after a lot of research on the net I couldn't find any company that sells a 52mm piston fitted for 10mm pin so I sent him this German made big bore kit with 52mm jug and piston with 10mm pin specifically for the 044...sure would save a lot of headaches Not too much more cost than the 12 mm...

    50,000 lbs STOLEN

Bummer on the thievery. If I have to leave timber on the ground where there isn't anyone to keep an eye on it I always use spray paint to mark it. Usually spray a message on the logs facing the road stating private property. It has been a deterrent so far. Lucky me I guess.

    Mapleton

Rep for your helping your not so near neighbors. Hope your saw is gonna be ok. At first glance I thought there was a climber in the tree in your second pic. Sure looks like a large mess they have to clean up. I'm really glad we don't have twisters here, just a few earthquakes every now and...

    Big Stove, Little House...

Year before last I built a 200 sq ft addition on my house. I installed a new Vogelzang Potbelly stove thats rated for 2000 sq ft. It works great as long as the fires are small to medium. Any bigger and all the windows and sliding door require opening to cool the room down to a comfortable...

Need advice on Fiskars X25 Splitting Axe with 28" Handle vs x27 with 36? handle.

We are close to the same build, I'm at 5-10/205 lbs. I was used to swinging a 6lber with 36" handle. Bought the x25 to keep behind the seat of my truck. It took some getting used to with the shorter handle on the x25. But it splits pretty good for the lighter weight head.

Idiot gets lucky. Found clutch spider!

Last fall we were clearing a landing of left over fire ravaged bark beetle infested logs. One of my cutting partners (that's him in the pic) lost one of the bar nuts off his 038, it apparently fell down between the logs as he was buzzing away at a log near the top of the pile. No problem...

does anyone else have dealer issues?

I get my Stihl parts from our local Dolmar/Husky dealer. He stocks more Stihl parts than the local Stihl/Echo dealer. His shop has been here the longest (bout 38 years) and he caters to owners of all saws. Without a doubt his shop has the largest customer base on the mountain.

    I'm absolutely sick!!!

Sorry about your stroke of bad luck, but sometimes the system works. My neighbor had some idiot break into his shed and rip his saw off, he made a police report and figured his saw was gone. For six months nothing then the county sheriff calls and tells him they have his saw. He actually got it...
