Need help! Gonna try a bike saw!

Not yet, in waiting to close on a house and start after we are all settled in. It will be much easier to move a whole dirt bike as opposed to a bunch of parts. In the mean time this thread could turn to "How to build your perfect 125cc bike saw"

Just a thought about the balance, mainly because I am on the smaller side. I need all the leverage I can get!

I was thinking of attaching it to the side plates, that way I could mess with the balance a little.

This is exactly the type of info I am in need of. I thought a lot if places required throw away ropes? You have actually helped me a ton with just those questions. I figure to be safer I will run a harvester bar and .404 chain, I like the idea of using a rewind off of a snowmobile. And I was...

Kawasaki 125cc with a 150cc cylinder kit and FMF pipe. The motor has some work done to it for flat track racing and is currently running on Vp C10 fuel. I know my way around porting saws for county fair racing but this is definitely outside my comfort zone. A co-worker of mine went to a...

Any one run a woods ported saw on a mill?

Anyway, back on topic! Every once in a while a buddy and I run a mill for a local woodworker, the mill is a 54" cut and started life with 2 ported 385xp's on it. One of the saws had an issue and he replaced it with a 394xp. Ported saws work very well on a mill in my opinion

Does removing carbon buildup increase your compression?

Run a good oil at the right ratio and tune the saw up, the carbon buildup will take care of itself.

Guys, don't get complacent out there!!!

Even though it's common sense for some of us, this thread is a real good reminder that the saw isn't worth it.
